(This is the later half of the chapter, I just ran out of time writing it yesterday)
The insectoid Razul with his arm halfway regrown appeared to my right. Granbell and Razul were planning on striking me at the same time. But Granbell seemed to recognize the energy my body was releasing at the moment and sent a message to Razul to step back.
"A hero? How?' True shock on his face.
Yet I didn't let him speak any longer. I swung my sword and activated absolute severance. Granbell tried to parry the blow with his melt slash yet the moment our swords met his blade was cleanly cut through. Granbell didn't have any time to move out of the way now.
The blade was approaching his neck before Razul stepped in between both of us and protected Granbell. While his exoskeleton had a similar effect to anti-skill it was not strong enough to defend against the slash.
The blade cut cleanly through the exoskeleton and sliced the insectoid horizontally in half. And while the insectoid was still on the air I once again swung again and again until the moment its body touched the ground. Several thuds were heard as the dead insectoid landed on the ground.
Granbell had two final hidden cards. Yet he didn't want to use one of them. He knew if he called her she would die.
Granbell had brought his deceased wife back to life using forbidden magic, necromancy. Yet she was only a puppet. Her soul had moved on and by the time he had attempted to bring her back, it was too late. Even if he tried to use his skill Sariel, once a soul had moved on there was no way he knew to bring them back.
He had given Maria a multitude of Unique skills in order to make her stronger. Unique skills he had extracted using the control of souls Sariel gave him. But if he called her here he knew she would die. And he couldn't lose her again.
'Maria, take care of Mariabell. I will leave my hopes onto her' he thought to himself.
His granddaughter Mariabell had a unique skill that allowed her to control the desires of others. Mariabell had started to gain influence and control over the western nations. And with her skill, she had gained control over a strong weapon they had no way to control previously.
The chaos dragon. Milim's pet that had gone mad after it had been resurrected. He trusted in his granddaughter, yet he was still careful of bringing it out. But after seeing his partner die there was no reason to hesitate any longer. So, with the soul brand he had placed on it, he called it.
Granbell focused all his attention on Sariel. And poured his all into one final attack, an attack he had supercharged with death. The remaining half of his blade was dyed in a dark color and he moved to slash.
Yet his strongest attack was avoided with a small sidestep. Once I had dodged the attack, I stabbed through his heart with the blade side of the sword pointing towards the sky in one swift move. And the next moment I slashed up. Bringing an end to his life I put my sword away.
In the distance, a meteor-like object was rushing in my direction at an incredible speed. Releasing a chaotic aura that foretold the destruction of everything on his path.
[The Chaos Dragon is approaching. Careful not to kill it, we can save him from the chaotic state he is in. I am sure Milim will be happy once she sees her old friend back to normal again. Your strength is increasing due to the deaths of the enemy army. If you can hold it back for a bit I can take care of the rest.]
'So you think my physical strength will be enough to stop it?'
[Yes, make sure to activate Uriel's defenses.]
The very next moment the dragon crashed with me. A big explosion was generated the moment the dragon collided with me, creating a huge cloud of dust. I was holding onto its jaws as it tried to bite me. While I had not been hurt the impact had pushed me back and the environment around us had been destroyed.
Ciel activated Beelzebuth and began to cover the dragon, yet it didn't fully envelop it.
[Poor dragon, he is extremely unstable. His scales also appear to also be resistant to the use of skills. We might have to open a hole in him. Once I can get to his core I will be able to properly analyze him and fix him.]
'Alright, in that case.'
I punched the dragon with all my strength, yet its body only moved back a couple of feet before jumping again onto me. Ready to slice me with its claws. I wasn't expecting to brawl with a chaos dragon today but it was a good thing I had just recently copied the martial skills of Carrion.
I grabbed one of the arms of the dragon and using its momentum I flipped it onto the ground.
"Sorry buddy, but in order to heal you I gotta rough you up a bit."
I pulled out my sword and coated it with my slime body. And after dodging a bite I stabbed it. The slime that had been coated on the sword began to make its way towards the core of the dragon.
Lifting itself off the ground the dragon prepared to launch a beam full of chaotic energy. The moment it was about to be fired however his magicules were consumed along with its body. Leaving only a dragon core on the ground that was covered by the slime I had detached from my body that was then also consumed.
[Analysis successful, I am using Asmodeus to fix its soul. For the moment I have consumed it so we can reconstruct him in a more controlled location. We should take care of the bodies.]
'That was… easier than expected…'
[Hehe, just leave the analysis to me.]
And so, walking up to the location where all of the bodies where I activated Beelzebuth and consumed everyone.
[I have gathered the remains of the army in a hidden room of the Labyrinth. Should I take us there?]
'Yes'
And soon Ciel began to work on what she liked to do the most. Fusing skills.
…
[Unique skill Origin has finished integration with your soul.
Fusing Origin with the unique skill Creator.
The evolving Origin had consumed Aeshma lord of fury, Beelzebuth lord of gluttony, Asmodeus lord of lust, Sariel lord of hope, Uriel lord of vows, and the remainders of the skill Raphael lord of wisdom.
Origin has evolved into the skill Star King Veldanava, God of Origins and Creation.
Most of the skills currently held are being consumed by the skill Veldanava.
It appears that the skill Veldanava is incomplete, and it can't work to its full capacity.
Reasons for the incomplete skill
Subskill Yaldabaoth, God of Sin is incomplete.
Subskill Yahweh, God of Virtue is incomplete.
True Dragon Race Requirement has not been met.]
I fell to my knees inside the Labyrinth, the place I had gone to consume the bodies of the armies that had attacked.
A burning feeling appeared in my soul once again as I felt it grow in power. The feeling of my soul being stretched as it grew in strength trying to keep up with the skill brought an intense sense of discomfort.
But only a few moments later the strange feeling disappeared and I felt my soul return to normal. I felt a sense of tiredness after the intense pressure my soul had just gone through.
[Analysis of Star King Veldanava is complete.
It seems that due to the forceful evolution of the skill it has not met its true potential yet. As more of the requirements are met the skill will regain its true strength.
It contains the subskills.
Origin: Creation: Through the consumption of a large amount of magicules creation of anything is possible. The user must have a clear picture of what is wished in order for the skill to work. Inpopper use of this skill can lead to the permanent weakening of the user such as when Veldanava began to lose his strength when creating the worlds.
Origin: Incomplete Denial: The incomplete power to deny. This skill is the original form of anti-skill. In its current state, it is only capable of denying the use of skills, arts, and magic.
Origin: Incomplete Records: This skill keeps a record of the skills that had been held and created by the user. Allowing the user to duplicate and store skills. Skills that can be later passed down using Yaldabaoth's food chain.
Origin: Void world: A dimension made to isolate any and all targets. The upgraded version of Stomach+Isolate with unlimited space.
Turn Null (Nihility Collapse): An immensely destructive Energy produced through a separate dimension (World of Chaos). Fully controllable via Manas.
Yaldabaoth, Incomplete God of Sin: This skill carries with it the abilities of the deadly sins. In order to awaken its true power, all of the sins must join together. (3/7)
Yahweh, Incomplete God of Virtue: This skill carries with it the abilities of the virtues. In order to awaken its true power, all virtues must join together. (3/7)]
"Star King Veldanava… So the skill Origin…
[Was a fragment of Veldanava the Voice of the World was holding. Awaiting for his return to give it back to him.
We might not fulfill the requirements for Yaldabaoth or Yahweh, but we have a true dragon on our side. Now that I am Ciel it would be safe to analyze Veldora. I think it is time to fulfill one of the missing requirements.]
