(Luminous Pov)
Over a thousand years had passed since she met her, the Legendary hero Chronoa. Chronoa had just walked into where Luminous lived one day and they had become close friends shortly after. Luminous had taken a liking to her as she was quite a likable person. A bit of a goofball at times, always bringing joy into every room she walked in. A true hero at heart.
Spending so much time with Chronoa had made the two of them quite close. Chronoa had opened up about her real identity, or identities. And her past… Or should it be her future? She had told Luminous about her adventures, the adventures she was set to have. And eventually began to talk about a certain person named Rimuru.
Chronoa had given her clues of the futures she had seen. She had seen the complete destruction of everything on this planet. She told of the many times she tried to prevent it, only to fail for a moment and doom everyone. She had blamed herself for her failures and felt ready to give up. They were stuck in a loop, it was as if the world itself pushed everything in motion. But she had received something new this time. A magical item made by the smartest person she knew.
It looked like a simple clock, but its capabilities were something she absolutely needed. It allowed her to more freely use her own ultimate skill Yog-Sothoth, Lord of Space and Time. It was not a skill she had earned by herself. For that reason, she was unable to gain enough control before it was too late. Every loop messed with her memories, so the experience she gained on the loops was lost. Only fragmented memories remained. But now her head was clear, and she felt as if this was the final time she would have to go back.
When it came to most things she had to be vague. But the one thing that made her speak up more freely was the person named Rimuru. She kept on speaking about small things here and there that only built more curiosity on Luminous' mind. After all, Luminous had seen Chronoa's strength. And now she was being told that she was no match against who that person would become. Chronoa had even pulled some pranks on her mentioning how great of friends we would become. And while she could tell it was mostly a joke, I couldn't be too sure.
Chronoa had made her soften up and had helped her to take a liking to the world. It was only thanks to Chronoa that her followers hadn't been all killed when Veldora attacked her. She was the one who had inspired her to create her new country Ruberios. As a vampire, she was required to consume human blood, and so were her followers. So instead of creating a human prison where they would be used only for their blood, she created a peaceful country in which humans would willingly give their blood. It was then that she discovered how much better blood tasted when taken from a happy human.
In the course of creating Ruberios, she had become a god for its citizens. A title that gave many unexpected benefits. Sadly she had to say goodbye to one-third of her new best friend not too long after. She had to say goodbye to Chloe.
Chronoa was made out of the combined souls of three people in one body. Or rather, two people and a Manas. A being created out of the negative emotions Chloe felt at the end of every loop. A being who gained sentience after she received the name Chronoa. And not too long after Chloe had to leave as she was being summoned in the future the rest of Chronoa had to leave too. There were many things that had to be done, and the world needed its hero.
This left Luminous mostly alone. She still had her subordinates but it wasn't the same anymore. Luminous was left to wait. Until the day the Storm Dragon was released from his imprisonment. That's when she knew the time would be near for her to reunite with her friends. It would be a long wait as Veldora was still running free. But it was a wait she was willing to endure.
…
Eventually, the time had come for them to meet. She had received news about Clayman wanting to take over his territory, and a Walpurgis had been called. She almost couldn't hold back the excitement she felt. Chronoa had told her that she would communicate with Rimuru. She didn't say what she would tell him, only that he would know what he needed to do.
Walking into the meeting hall she locked eyes with him. It was strange to finally meet someone your friend told you about. He appeared calm and she couldn't detect anything from him until she felt her own skill react. The unique skill Lust she had acquired was burning as if it had met its other half. It was as if the skill itself wanted to leave her soul and go towards him. But the next moment it stopped. Something had changed in the skill, though she couldn't tell what it was. When she tried to analyze herself she didn't feel different at all, she still could feel the control she had over her skill. On the surface, it appeared as if nothing had changed.
She couldn't do a proper analysis without anyone noticing so she had to wait until later to properly examine it. For now, she would wait until the meeting ended for them to finally talk.
And after they were able to get a private meeting room she couldn't get a hold of herself and just started blurting things out. After a moment had passed for her to realize what she had done she decided to try once again.
"I apologize for that, I couldn't hold myself back from asking any longer. Let's start again from zero. My name is Luminous Valentine. It is good to finally meet you, Rimuru Tempest."
