Chapter 19 - Qiandeng Town

As Titan's Gate went all out to find him, he had no idea of what was caused due to him.

He could finally see a town in the distance. As he approached he saw a multitude of people coming and going as they entered or departed from the town. Madlenkosi calmly went behind a caravan as he walked into the town.

The town was surrounded by a 9-foot wall, made of black stone-like material, it gave a sturdy and ancient feeling.

As he passed the archway he looked around to see buildings on either side of the road, beggars or people hawking their goods. The hawkers reminded him of his previous world and gave him the feeling that those days seemed so distant now.

He went sightseeing around the town as this was his first time seeing a town in this new world even though he was in this world for around 8 to 9 months.

Once he asked around he was able to get information about the Swift Eagle Agency which dealt with buying and selling materials, pills, weapons, and the like.

As he made his way into the store all he got were looks of either curiosity or disgust. The judgemental looks didn't bother him as he walked to the counter.

"What can I do for you?" An uninterested attendant asked.

"I'd like to sell beast cores " He replied, though he was young he knew it had thieving and conniving people so he held his assets closely.

The attendant named Meng Xing eyes widened as she stared at the golden brown boy.

"What rank?" She asked with expectation.

"3 Early Rank, 5 Mid Rank, and 4 High-Rank Tier 2s, " He announced.

Men Xing smiled as she knew the commission she would get from this purchase would be great.

She then said " 1 Early Rank 2 Beast Core is 500 silver, 1 Mid Rank 2 is 2 gold and 1 High Rank is 16 gold" Meng Xing continued, " Your total is 75 gold and 500 silver."

Madlenkosi was stunned, he didn't realize hunting Demonic beasts was so profitable.

"Do you all sell weapons here?" He asked.

Men Xing leads him to a glass panel where weapons were behind.

They were mostly basic heavy weapons due to being within GuangXi, which was heavily influenced by Buddha culture and Body Cultivation.

Due to this heavy weapons were in demand since they allowed the disciples of these sects to exhibit more power.

As he glanced over the weapons, he saw a black-handled heavy Sabre, a black Mace, an iron Ji, A crimson Warhammer, and a brass-colored Staff.

After asking the attendant he settled on the staff, which needed at least 36 Elephants in strength to even be lifted. The weight of this staff was roughly an astounding 840,000 Jin. As he picked it up he felt his weight sink but it wasn't a strained or uncomfortable feeling.

As he bought some anti-poison, qi replenishing, cultivation, and healing pills, he also asked for any fundamental staff manuals they had.

They had a few so he decided to pick one which focused on brute force and speed.

This fundamental staff technique was named the Merciful Ferry Guiding Staff.

This technique had 4 Fundamental Skills.

'Guiding Bo'

Which was a rising staff technique.

'Guiding Way'

Which was a thrusting technique.

'Parting Waves'

Which was a downwards striking technique.

'Lanterns Lit All Around'

A flurry of staff strikes emphasizing speed and power.

As he read it, he was quite happy with his purchase. The staff he purchased was heavy enough and he now had a fundamental skill.

Fundamental skills were key when it came to weapons Mastery.

Once 'Perfection' over a type of skill set is reached one can gain insight into their intent.

Madlenkosi was at Greater Mastery when using the Moon Gazing Mountain Technique. Soon he would be able to gain insight into its Moon Gazing intent and formulate his martial intent.

As he left the Swift Eagle Agency, he looked completely different.

"Heh, clothes really do make the man" he chuckled to himself.

He was now wearing a light pastel yellow and a light wheat-colored hanfu as he left the establishment. He looked at his staff in hand as he covered it in a wrapping cloth and tied it.

"From today onwards I'll name you... Taahkarr"

As he continued through the town he noticed a group asking for mercenaries between the 5th and 6th realm of Qi gathering.

Once he approached he inquired about their destination, which seemed to be the province of Bilbao within YunNan. He thought about it and showed proof of his cultivation as his aura billowed outwards.

The caravan had a small stagecoach within, the mercenaries were allied with a small merchant family's guards to escort 3 females of the family to the Water Shroud Sect, a subsect of the renowned Snow Palace Sect.

The danger with this travel wasn't the Demonic beasts...but people. Certain Unorthodox Path cultivators would attack and target any caravan going to YunNan.

Whether it's to find a yin cauldron or to practice blood arts, virgin females were the best.

As he got onto the caravan it slowly made its way out of the town, with his eyes on the sky he thought, "Time to see the rest of this world."

Hours passed as many disciples of Titan's Gate Sect entered the town, scouring it for any trace of their junior brother. Shortly after they received information of him going to Swift Eagle Agency.

Upon arriving Meng Xing's eyes widened as she saw all the Punishment Hall disciples.

"How may I help?" She said with fear.

"Having you seen this golden brown child?" As the leading disciple held up a portrait of Kosi.

Meng Xing went on to explain what he bought here, what he sold, and when he left.

With this information, they were able to then find that he had left the town hours prior. Not everyone excelled at movement skills, especially Earth-ranked ones.

"Report to Head Elder ZaiMing that he has left towards YunNan. " The lead disciple said as he stared in YunNans direction with squinted eyes and a furrowed brow.

As the caravan and stagecoach passed along the road, they did run into quite a few demonic beasts but were all taken care of by either the mercenary group or the family guards.

The strongest amongst the guards and mercenaries was only at the 6th layer of Qi Cultivation.

He cleared his mind as he sat on the end of the caravan and cultivated, his Qi and Body Cultivation were both able to break through to the next realm, but he placed them on hold as he aimed to practice his Merciful Ferry Guiding Staff.

As he began to practice he realized that with great ease he was able to understand the first skill he tried.

'Guiding Bo!'

As the Bo staff rose upwards it took a large amount of wind and force with it. Shortly after he started he reached Initial then Lesser Mastery. It was like something was Guiding him like a teacher personally bestowing his knowledge and legacy of staff use.

With this speed of learning, even he was appalled...
