"Aesthetic?! Are you freaking kidding me? Do you have no respect for this place? Do you know the type of people who get to come in here?"
Lich frowned. "Well I just had to walk in here after I finished working. How am I supposed to respect or disrespect this place if I don't even know what is going on."
Rooster found another chair and sat down. "E rank is split into 2 groups. The employee and the employer. 99% of People are sent to the employee space, while the rest are sent here."
Rooster started to press his fingers in the air and then a system screen appeared.
"You are either graded to have the qualities to enter or you pay your way in."
Lich smirked to himself. 'So I only got in cause I am a lich. Since that is the only quality I know I have.'
"The ones who got in by having good qualities are further split into alliances. All of these people have either god complex's or they just don't know it yet. Then you have the moneybags who payed to get here, the Gold's and the Silver's."
The system screen that was a pie chart of users in the E rank changed to a split screen. The information on the screen looked like a subscription option screen for a mmorpg.
"The Silver's are people who payed a one time price to get the same privileges as us. For the lack of a better term, the only difference between us is cosmetic difference. Everything they have is silver with small gem linings. Well there might be a small minority who skipped the training phases but you will not see them for a bit."
Then Rooster pressed on the more info tab on the Gold's.
"These guys have many names. Whales, moneybags, and middlemen. They are spending a yearly membership to get in here. They are super gaudy and everything they have is gold. Another advantage they have is they can sell and buy hard work."
"Sell and buy work?"
Hearing Lich's question, Rooster pulled up a different screen.
"They can hire the employee accounts to do the work for them. Then they can sell them to the other employers as wage slaves. The employee accounts are okay with taking crap pay since they get to come to the employer server to do work in less crowded areas and get to advance quicker."
...
"That is about it. So lets start with the work for E rank. Pull up your system and check all the new things that got added."
Lich looked at the new info on the screen.
[E Rank Mission: Name All Businesses]
The rest of the new options were grayed out.
'I guess I will start with this then.' Lich pressed accept on the mission and stacks of paper appeared on the table.
Seeing Lich start, Rooster also started to work.
...
'Name of my spear business? Easy Lich's Spears.'
...
'Brick business? Lich's Bricks.'
...
'Uh, Guard job? Let's see....Lich's Guards. This is easy enough.'
...
Seeing Lich fill in the paperwork so fast, Rooster had to say something.
"I hope you are taking the naming seriously. The names for everything can influence if people will do business with you. So be creative. Even if they names you want are taken, just think harder on it."
"Fine, I will think harder on them then."
...
'Crab breed? Well Gray Crab.'
...
'Gray Wolf. Wait, that is already a thing. Hmm, whatever it is good enough.'
...
Rooster saw the speed Lich was going was the same. He decided to let him be. If Lich needs help later cause no one wants to work at a place with a super bland name he will help him, but he will hold it against him and said he tried helping.
Lich started to stretch and yawn." That was boring. So when do I get to start the actual stuff for E rank?"
"If you are done with the naming just hit submit. But make sure you check everything or people will complain in the future."
"Of course." Is what Lich said. But, he didn't bother checking and just submitted it.
[E Rank Mission Complete. D Rank Mission Issued.]
[D Rank Mission: Send Out Employees To Dungeons.]
"Wait, that's it? G and F took forever and I just had to do paperwork to finish this. Also what does it mean send out employee's? Don't I need to ya know.. Hire them!" Lich was then interrupted by a knock on the door.
Then a group of people with gray skin and eye bags, like they haven't slept in years, came in holding spears.
"Boss Lich, please sign this Dungeon Exploration sheet so we can go concur it for your greatness."
After Lich signed the sheet and they left, another group came in before Lich could check his system. This continued until Lich signed 1000 sheets.
"Dammit, my hand is cramping. Rooster do you know why everything is going by fast. I thought the further we went on this path the harder it would become, not easier."
Putting his pen down, Rooster looked at Lich. "It is because you are an employer. If you were an employee you would have to go and do all the work yourself. But since you are the boss you just have to sit back and let them work."
Lich then sighed interrupting Rooster. "But what is the fun in that? Is the rest of my life going to be sitting here and signing paper?"
"Just up until SSS. You aren't really missing much. It is more like they are going out to collect the information and material needed for you to succeed. You will do more in SSS then you think."
"If you say so."
[Dungeon Clear 1/1000]
'I guess one of them finished the dungeon.
...
[D Rank Cleared.]
[C Rank Mission: Set Up City.]
Before Lich could see how to build the city another notification went off.
[Per-Build City Plan Found. Standby.]
"It is taking even the smallest things from me. Granted I would of messed up the city."
[C Rank Mission Cleared.]
[B Rank Mission: Battle All The Cities.]
The deployment screen was no longer grayed out. Going to it Lich found his city was already fighting and winning against other cities.
"I guess with undead troops as long as I win the first few, the rest don't matter."
As Lich was complaining about already being in B rank, Rooster just finished his E Rank paper work.
"Troops? I thought you didn't use those until B rank? There is no way you are already there."
"Oh, sorry was I monologuing out loud? But yeah, I am in B rank. It's like my troops want to speed run. They were already fighting as soon as I checked in on them."
Rooster jumped up and yelled. "Impossible! The info I gathered states all forces need to be issued orders. Also you need to set up the matches. Unless your ancestor set up 1000 cities for you to destroy, there is no way you just get to steamroll your way into A rank. Unless your ancestor captured enough people to fill up 1000 cities."
Lich started to go through the deployment screen and found battle logs. A new set of words appeared.
[Your Troops Attacked Children Of The Chicken Ancestor(Hostages)]
"Lich, why did I just get a notification you are killing hostages of my Ancestor? It is giving me the option to make you a eternal enemy, so speak fast."
"I think my ancestor collected hostages from all of the other ancestors in server 0. So they are killing more than just yours. So go ahead and select what you want."
Lich seemed nonchalant, but his face was a deep shade of red and small tears dropped from his eyes.
"I hit no, but it is kind of fucked what your ancestor did.Huh, another notification?"
"Is it the one that says your people who were taken hostage all died? If so, sorry."
"I will always be your friend. But I hope a lot of people select you as their mortal enemy."
Then the two went back to work. For Rooster it was looking for people to hire for his Dungeon Exploration. For Lich it was simply looking at his troops kill thousands. If an outsider was watching the screen, they would simply think Lich was taking a break and watching a zombie movie.
...
Rooster found enough people and sent them all to the dungeons, while Lich was looking at his system screen.
"Hey Rooster, do you think there is like a prize or something for finishing before everyone else? I feel like the ancestor wouldn't let me simply have such an easy time."
Rooster pulled out his tablet and started to search his notes before speaking. "I was the first person to finish the Training Phase and I was awarded like the past servers. If it follows the same trend as the last ones, then there are first clears for clearing the stages. However our server is going to be using a brand new power system, so things will be different."
