The people in the mob were mad when they heard Lich. They were getting ready to pin him down with their pitchforks but the sound of a gun going off caused them to stop and look around.
The person who shot the gun earlier was the man who talked to Lich in the slaughterhouse. "I am still the law of this town, I know I allow you all to be a neighborhood watch, but that doesn't give you any right to act like the way you are all acting. Let the boy go and make sure you keep your weapons and hands to yourselves, ya hear?"
Nodding to the man, Lich went back to the motel. Seeing no one was around as they were all inside their rooms, Lich went to the office in the motel and wrote up eviction notices. He went around and placed them on all the doors, even his own.
Then he went inside his room and went to sleep. Lich woke up earlier than he wanted as there was knocking on his door. Groggily getting up, Lich opened his door and kicked the person at his door.
