Chapter 24 - Chapter 24

The Blood Elemental flyer was of Lich sitting in a crimson colored rain. This flyer was also missing any words. However looking at the happy face of Lich in the flyer made Lich have a pit in his stomach.

"Luckily my Mech's cockpit has extra seats so feel free to get comfy."

Seeing where she was gesturing, Lich felt a tingle in his spine. The seat she was talking about was a bed. However he also saw handcuffs attached to the headboard. That along with her heavy breathing made him decided to stand.

"I am fine with standing behind you. Thanks for personally picking me up."

"I see she warned you about bed mechanics, I will try later."

Pretending to not hear what she said, Lich asked about the Mech path.

"So how long will it take for me to start piloting some mechs?"

The mech pilot started to move the mech back to the place of business. However instead of going through the hole she already made, she went out the undamaged wall. Then the mech started to move too fast for Lich to see or stand still.

"Fumu fumu. I love the feeling of plowing through walls and turning around is more dangerous anyways. Also it is way to early to ask about piloting for you. If all newbies could just start out in a mech, the cities would be too crowded and a lot of damage would happen."

Though his question was given an answer, he was too focused on the prompt that appeared when he landed on the bed.

[Would You Like To Activate Succubus's Love Nest?]

Lich started to scream no in his head and the prompt went away. The mech pilot looked back and after a few seconds, then sighed.

"I never got your name? My name is Lich. It is... nice to meet you."

"My friends call me Takoyaki. But you can shorten it to Tako."

'So I am not her friend? But usually shortening things means more friendly terms I think?'

"Well thank you for allowing me to get the Mech path with my coupon. I would hate to delay getting a mech because I couldn't afford it. You are the best Tako."

Seeing her weird drooling smile and huffing, Lich decided it was best to not talk for the rest of the ride.

They soon reached what looked like an airport. There were many warehouses with large entrances. Tako drove the mech into a warehouse that was plastered with talisman. Getting out of the mech they both went and started to fill out the work papers.

"Remember when I said you wouldn't be piloting any mechs soon. It seems I forgot that the G rank jobs are moving the mechs onto display."

Tako passed Lich a box of key fobs. Then a quest appeared.

[Mech G0: Put 1000 Mechs On Display]

Feeling happy over being able to pilot a mech, Lich didn't put much thought how much work this really was.

From the data dumping learning method Lich went through from before, he knew how to start up a mech and move it. Once he moved the first mech into the display area and got out, reality hit him hard.

"F*ck! I have to run back!"

Though he had a mech to drive to the display area, he didn't have one on the way back. The walk back was over a mile away.

Once he got back to get the next mech a harder truth hit him. The distance was only going to increase, since the mech's required space in between each one.

...

After who knows how long, he finally finished the work. Tako in her mech was waiting on him.

"Time to take you to your next place! Where do you want to go?"

"First I have a weird request. Can we go to the door of your shop?"

Tako smiled weirdly and agreed. "Of course, also I have a shower in my mech you can use since you are really sweaty."

"A bed and shower? That sounds nice, you can basically live in there if you had a kitchen."

"Sometimes mech missions last long times. So of course it has a kitchen, along with a storage unit of food and other things."

"I am loving mechs more and more. I cannot wait to have my own one day."

The conversation had ended as Lich got to the door. He grabbed the sticky note turned flyer and got into the mech to go to the next place.

...

'So this is the shower. I guess normally only one person is in a mech so the way it is built makes sense. But why is Tako's chair turned towards me?'

To fit everything needed for the mech pilot in the cockpit, some things were made weirdly. For instance to get to the shower you only had to open a door. However since Lich had to take off his clothes, he had to do that before getting into the shower.

"Don't be such a wimp. You need to take off your clothes so I can wash them in the washer for you anyways. Also with our age gap it isn't like I am lusting for you. I just like to play pranks on people."

Lich chose to believe her partly. He quickly undress and threw his clothes over Tako's face so she couldn't see him fully naked. Surprisingly Tako didn't take Lich's shirt off her face, so he didn't have to worry about her seeing him.

However as he was in a rush he didn't notice her sniffing his shirt hard.

...

"So where am I taking you?" Nothing else weird happened to Lich's knowledge.

"Well as a Lich it is kind of weird I don't have any zombies. So can you take me to the zombie area?"

"Sure but shouldn't you want to go the Necromancer area? Since a Lich should be able to summon zombies and all."

"Honestly I just kind of don't feel it now. I will just get that later."

Starting the mech and whispering to her self out loud Tako stated, "That is a weird reason, since it is obvious that Necromancer would cost more, but it is your coupons.

...

Waving off Tako, Lich entered the Zombie shop. A young man was standing inside the shop, once he saw Lich he bowed down. "Welcome Mr. Lich, thank you for choosing my shop."

"Of course thanks for the welcome, let's get me started on the work."

As they walked into the back to do the paperwork, a bead of sweat fell down Lich's face.

'Choosing? Is there more than the one shop then?'

[Zombie G0: Stock 1000 Zombie Info Books]

"So just another stock boy mission. But I guess it will be easier." Lich looked over to the multiple zombies who were following behind him with boxes of books.

...

"Finished, huh. I thought since I am a Lich, the undead related jobs would be harder to test me more so the stats and money are deserved. But it was the opposite."

The store owner walked up to Lich with another zombie. "Mr. Lich this will be your driver until you no longer need him. You can call him Driver, as he was recently made to be your driver."

"Thank you for going above and beyond for me. I kind of want some grapefruits so take me there."

The zombie named Driver grunted and lead Lich to a limo that was out front.

...

Since Driver wasn't a talker, Lich decided to look over the recently flyers he got. The Mech flyer was of Lich in a pilot uniform standing on a mech saluting. The only word was simply Mech.

The Zombie flyer was weird. As it showed Lich laying on his side as he was carried by zombies. With the words 'Come Serve The Great Lich And Bring Yourself To Greatness.'

But Lich couldn't think what was good about carrying him. The flyer gave off the vibe that people should simply flock to him so they could simply be in his presence. No sound in the head person would ever come to him for zombie services.

'I guess the only people I will be able to recruit are going to be weirdos. Granted I will probably have more in common with them then people who are considered normal.'

They soon reached the Grapefruit area. Before Lich could step out of the limo, the door was opened up by Driver. It seemed he was a strong undead. However oddly enough when Lich stepped out he noticed a black carpet was rolled out from the limo to the door.

"Thanks Driver, but I don't really need for a carpet to be rolled out for me. People might think I am someone important, I don't want to disappoint anybody."

Since the only reply he received was just another grunt, Lich just went into the Grapefruit shop.

"Welcome to my Grapefruit shop, how may I help you?"

Lich lazily showed the coupon.
