Christopher stood across from Alex and waited patiently. He had expected Alex to contact him after he read the letters but not so soon.
Alex gave him a smile that did not reach his eyes as he gestured, "Why don't we have this meeting in the private room?"
With a nod, Christopher agreed while the guards of the two men followed closely. At the door of the private room, Alex spoke once again, "Let the guards stay out."
Christopher nodded but his guard could not help but protest, "Your Highness. At least let Assistant Du Ming come in with you.."
Before Christopher could respond, Alex spoke, "Captain Leo, do you think Du Ming can protect the King if I wanted to harm him?"
Captain Leo opened his mouth to snap back at him when Christopher raised a hand, "It's fine, Captain."
Soon, the two people took their chairs inside the private room waiting for the other to speak.
