Inside the Queen's library:
Christopher stared at the many portraits of the members of the royal family that stopped at his father. The man looked eerily like him and yet, any observer would not find much feeling for this man. In fact, if a person were to observe closely, they would find only loathing in his gaze. The portrait reminded of the words that Jeannie had just told him.
Before the two of them could have had any more discussion about her wanting him to confide in her, Christopher received a call from his grandmother. Relieved that he would not have to explain any more about the dirty past he dropped off Jeannie in silence and made his way to the Queen.
And now, as he sat in her library, he could only seethe in anger.
"It takes a strong man to rely on a woman, Christopher."
