Jeannie glanced down at the multitude of soft toys in her arms and shook her head. Why did she have to choose such a silly game to distract him. She had known that he was a good marksman since he had trained in the army and was the leader of the armed forces but he had actually burst every balloon on the wall making the poor shopkeeper lose all the toys.
As Christopher spoke to the shocked shopkeeper who had finally recognized him as the Prince, little boy approached her, pulling at the hem of her jacket. Looking at the slightly grubby face of the boy, Jeannie wondered if he wanted a toy and was about to give him one when he extended a small piece of paper in his hand.
