Delaney ate his breakfast in silence as he studied the family of three. In his pocket, a USB flash drive seemed to be burning a hole as he weighed the turn of events. Sigh, of all the things that Jeannie had to lose, it had to be her memory! And that too at such a crucial moment! At least she still had her wits about her and had not become a complete simpleton.
At this moment, however, he could see that she was more concerned by the events that had transpired at the celebration yesterday. Of course the queen had made sure that not a word of the scandal was leaked out but the tension of it was visible on the three faces. Or rather on little Blaise's face as Christopher had a poker face as always while Jeannie was having her pancakes as if she had eaten them for the first time and found ambrosia.
