Everyone's stare made Blaise feel a bit uncomfortable and he gulped with fear. The truth was that he had never been exposed to so many curious stares and though he was a confident person at this moment he felt most vulnerable.
Because he may be young, he understood that if he told the truth then his Aunt Andre may be hurt. But he did not understand how Aunt Andrea had managed to believe all this. Even though he had not been in touch with Aunt Andrea because of the digital detox, he had told her that Jeannie had done nothing to harm him. In fact, he had even asked her if he should try to accept Jeannie as his step mother but Aunt Andrea had been adamant that it was all an act.
However this was not the first time that he had lost touch with Aunt Andrea. There was the time when father had grounded him and that time also he had been unable to contact Aunt Andrea because of that. So why was she reacting so badly.
