Even though Jeannie had been angry at Christopher for getting hurt, she continued to hover over the man for the rest of the day. And amazingly, his own son also joined much to his amazement. Ever since he had become an adult, he had never been served like this! They wouldn't even let him drink soup on his own with Blaise insisting that he would be the one feeding his father. However the little boy was so inexperienced that half of the soup was fed to the plate under the bowl. But Christopher was still happy.
A lot had changed in the little time he had been away and he looked at Jeannie with appreciation. When he had changed his plan of divorcing her with the intention of having them form a family, he had not expected that Jeannie would actually be proactive in making that aim a reality. Even though the two people continued to bicker among themselves, he could sense the change in the way the two people treated each other.
