With that exclamation, Blaise took off towards the other side of the beach where the helicopter would land. Shaking her head at the boisterous boy, Jeannie slowly packed the picnic and walked at a leisurely pace even though she was as excited as the little kid.
Today had been extra special and she was thankful for the time she'd been able to have with the kid. She had done all this only so that she could make Blaise not worry about the things his dear aunt had probably filled in his head. But unexpectedly, his question had made her self reflect as well. And thus, she had been able to answer him truthfully. But there was something that had shocked her. Holding the little boy close in her arms, with his small head on her shoulders, she had even wanted to tell him that in the future, he called her mother if he wished to.
