When Delaney received the call that Christopher had arrived at his office, he was in the middle of a meeting. Surprised that his friend would come over so suddenly, Delaney hurriedly left the meeting. The only possibility he could think of was that Jeannie had been found.
Rushing to his office he quickly sat in his chair ready to wait.
The few minutes that it took for Christopher to reach up were like years to Delaney. He hoped that Christopher had the good sense and brought Jeannie along so that he could see for himself how she was doing. As other thoughts of Jeannie being harmed tried to invade his mind, Del truthfully suppressed them.
After the quick pleasantaries, Del directly asked,"What news do you have?"
Just as directly Christopher answered,"Jeannie has been found. She is at present in this country."
