Valeria Campbell
"Hey, Lucy," I say as I see her walk through the school doo, heading in my direction, giving me a small wave.
"Hey, Val." She answers but something is odd, she seems nervous.
"Are you okay? Is something wrong?" I murmur with worry.
"I-Uhm. I want to tell you something kind of embarrassing." She isn't looking at me while talking, her head is tilted down as she scratches the back of her head out of nervousness.
"Well, I-." She starts talking then stops for a second, "I think I have a crush on Roger. "
"No way!" I say with shock. But positively.
"We talked a bit when we were at the cafeteria, and he's just. You know..."
"Well, did you tell him?"
"No, and I don't plan on doing so."
"Why?"
"Because."
"What a great answer," I say with sarcasm.
"I'm not his type, okay?!" She tries to make a point.
"And how do you know that?" I genuinely want to know why she's that afraid.
"I've seen the girls he's always with, and I'm far from that. They're all gorgeous with a nice body."
"Well, you're gorgeous...So what's the problem?" She isn't making any sense.
"I wear oversized clothes all the time, never do my make-up, and I'm built like a twig."
"Oh, cut the bullshit. You have no reason to be so worried. Just try to talk to him, it's not that hard."
"Whatever."
I roll my eyes at her statement.
"But anyway, I forgot I wanted to tell you something," I remember not telling her about Ivan and me.
"Well, Ivan and I are dating," I say shyly blushing as the words come out of my mouth.
"No fucking way." She slaps her hand on her mouth out of shock and excitement as her eyes widen.
"Yes, fucking way! We snuck out of school during detention and went to the beach. We also had an extremely cute kissing session in the water."
"Wait wait wait. Slow down. 'YOU' snuck out." She doesn't seem to believe I did that.
I nod.
"And did you just skinny dip or something? "
"What, no!" I furrow my brows at the thought. "We were still wearing clothes. " I clarify.
"Bo-ring." She says slowly.
"Says the girl who wouldn't talk to her crush." I clap back.
"Hey, it's different. But, you had a romantic make-out session in the water with Ivan freaking Knight yesterday, and you're telling me that after an entire day." She mumbles quietly so that no one would hear us.
"I wanted to tell you in person. I was waiting to see your reaction."
"Well normally my reaction would be to shout out of excitement but I can't do that since there are people around. So I'm currently screaming internally because my brain isn't functioned to understand that much information. Thanks, Val." That's why I love her.
"You're welcome, babe." I wink at her and she chuckles.
"Hello, ladies!" I hear the familiar cheerful voice coming from behind us.
"Hey, Roger." He steps forward and gives Lucy and me a 'pound it'.
"Why all the sudden energy today ?" I say with a giggle.
"Well, first of all: I have a sister in law aka you miss Campbell. And second of all, I'm just an extremely energetic person." I guess Ivan told him.
"Fuck off Roger." Ivan hits his elbow as his statement.
"Ouch. This hurts."
"Toughen up." Ivan claps back.
"Whatever." He rolls his eyes at Ivan and brings his vision back to us. "Lucy, can I talk to you for a second?" He suddenly says surprising us both.
"Y-yeah, of course." She agrees and they both walk away leaving Ivan and me alone.
Interesting.

Roger Mitchell
It's okay, I've got this, all I have to do is ask her if she wants to hang out.
How hard can it be?
"What did you want to talk with me about?" She says as we were now standing away from Ivan and Valeria.
"I just Uhm." Just drop the fucking question boy. "Do you have a pencil?"
What the fuck man! A pencil? Really?
Between the millions of things I could've said, I decided to ask for a pencil. Great!
"A pencil? " She furrows her brows at my question. She probably thinks I'm crazy. Why would I ask her to talk privately to just lend a pencil?
"Because I need you to write an address."
Can this get any worse?
"What address?" She says with a confused look on her face.
"The address of the place I'm taking you to this Saturday." My brain is glitching.
This is the worst pickup line ever pronounced by a human being. But it's better than what I said earlier.
"What?" I confused the poor girl, but I don't blame her honestly. I confused myself, too. What I'm saying doesn't make sense to me either.
"Would you like to go out with me?"
Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes, please say yes...
"You want to go out with me?" She furrows her brows at my question.
I fucked up, she's not interested, I'll probably cry myself to sleep about it later. But she doesn't need to know that.
"Sure, I would love to." She continues with a shy smile.
Oh, thank god.
"Great, we'll talk about the details later then." I felt relieved, she might have said yes to not be mean, but she was at least coming with me.
"Perfect."
The bell suddenly rings, so we both start heading to class.
I didn't want to stop talking to her because her presence made me happy for some reason.
I would get this weird feeling in my stomach anytime we accidentally touched. This feeling was foreign, I've never sensed it before, but honestly, I could get used to it, I strangely like it.
I can't wait to tell Ivan that we were going out together.
I'll probably write about it in my diary.
