Chapter 13 - Obnoxious Child

Isaac immediately walked to the hiding place for the book and opened the book, half-expecting to be transported into his mind once more, but those piercing white eyes never appeared, and so he let out a sigh.

"If I were to still be transported, then Abaddon would have lied to me. I don't trust his words completely, but for now, it was safe to say the book wont be affecting me for the time being".

Flipping the pages, Isaac could actually see contents on the brown parchment paper like pages. Though looking at it from such a fast glance, Isaac couldn't really understand much, as most of it was symbols and icon looking text. Pictures that didn't make sense was filled throughout the pages he flipped to

Seeing that there was nothing he could read from the book, he decided to put the book back and make his way to the front of the bakery to go and see Isabella.

"I'm not making much progress out here, and it will take too long for me to be taught reading and writing properly, so I am going outside and am going to learn forcefully, even if it slow.

Making his way to the front of the bakery, Isaac grabs a hold of the dress of Isabella who was currently speaking to a customer. In response to the grab on her dress, she looks down and spots Isaac pulling at her dress, in which she begins to pick him up and reprimands him in front of the customer.

"Isaac, you know you are not to disturb me while I'm helping a customer in the bakery". Isabella says in a soft but strict tone

"Mom, outside". Isaac says and points towards the entrance to the bakery, causing Isabella to just sigh in response.

"Maybe later little one, I still have some hours till the bakery is closed".

In response to hearing this, Isaac felt like clawing at his eyes, he couldn't wait hours of doing nothing, he had basically done everything possible to do. Wether it be playing with toys, planning, and other things he thought up of when he was bored. He was fresh out of ideas, and he wanted to move more than just in the bakery.

"Isabella, don't be like that to Isaac, you know that children need their time to be outside, I'll take him to play with the kids and I'll keep good watch of him". A man with blonde spiky hair and a goatee said overhearing the conversation Isabella was having with Isaac.

Staring up at him, Isaac notices he is wearing pieces of leather armor, drawing to a conclusion that this guy was an adventurer buying bread.

"I never thought Isabella's bread was good enough to bring adventurers here, I thought I had seen most of all her customers which usually consist of the average family at best". Isaac thinks while on the outside he starts to bounce a little in Isabella's grasp

"Can I go"? Isaac asks Isabella with a hopeful glance

"Can he"? The blonde haired adventurer asked while also staring at Isabella

Facing both stares, she couldn't help but give in, but grabbed the blonde haired adventurer with her to have a private talk with him, leaving Isaac alone to his thoughts.

"Nice, I wonder what normal children do? Wait...why do I have to consider myself as not normal, I'm just not average, big brain kids happened on Earth even if it didn't happen much. Who would even want to be average, I miss being able to create stuff". Isaac shed a tear at the thought of not being able to create anything for years now.

Suddenly Isaac hears Isabella and the blonde haired adventurer walk back, but the scene shocked him. The adventurer was shivering like he had just seen a ghost, while Isabella was just smiling as she normally did, but in this scenario, the smile seemed slightly strange.

Isabella walks to Isaac, and crouches down while staring down at Isaac.

"Mr. Albatroz here will take you to to the park where most other children play, you will be a good boy and not run off on your own right"? Isabella asks while smiling at him with the same he look he first saw when she returned with Mr. Albatroz.

"Y-yes mom". Isaac says with a slight mutter as he never realized just how scary Isabella truly is.

"Is this the legendary mother's wrath"? He thinks to himself.

"Now both of you go on ahead, I have to actually run a busine-". Isabella's nagging was cut short as she noticed the disappearance of the two figures she was in the middle of reprimanding.

Slightly facepalming, she goes back over to the counter as she helps a customer who was currently laughing at the scene finish their purchase.

Back with Isaac and Mr. Albatroz, they both made their way to a large green field that was almost out of a book. The emerald green field stretched farther than what Isaac could see, and the grass's fresh earth smell put Isaac's mind at peace. The beautiful flowers were not for show as he could see that some adults went and picked them up and laid them into a basket, and in one scene, a man picked a flower and gave it to a woman, who in turn smiled and kissed him.

"I can tell you'll like this place kid, now go ahead and make some friends, run through the fields, in the center of those trees, is this huge tree house that most of the kids gather at and play, us adults never need to worry that they will go farther and I expect the same out of you". Mr. Albatroz says with a serious voice, pointing at the forest area which Isaac assumed was hiding the tree house.

"Okay". Isaac gave a cheerful reply and immediately began to make his way towards the trees, out of sight from Mr. Albatroz.

Moving through the forest for a little bit, Isaac ends up finding the tree house that Mr. Albatroz told him about, but the scene was definitely something he wasn't expecting to see.

"Aldrea, lets get married and live happily ever after". A youth wearing a red and golden robes shouted towards the top of the treehouse, and looking further towards an opened up section in the tree which resembled a window, the girl, "Aldrea", that Isaac had seen before, was staring at the youth, but she only sighed and walked away from the window.

After she walked away, the youth turned around changing the prince charming like smile into a nasty looking snarl, that looked strange on his face. He was blonde haired and it was combed over nicely similar to how old gentlemen kept their hair, very classy in appearance, and his eyes were a crimson red, which was contrasting to the other kids he had seen so far, he was similar to Aldrea in the fact that their appearance was wildly different than other children.

While in the midst of thoughts, the blonde haired youth called out to him.

"Hey kid! What are you looking at!?" He screamed at Isaac while directing his glare straight at him.

Isaac confused regardless of the fact they were the only two in the immediate vicinity, pointed at himself, questioning as to wether they were talking to him.

"Yes stupid, I'm talking to you"! He angrily points at him as if Isaac's confusion is a batch of wood to his rising flame. Walking closer and closer to Isaac, stopping right when he was up in front of his face.

"Rude much". Isaac thought while rolling his eyes

"I am looking at the tree. I want to go inside of it and take a look". Isaac makes full use of his vocabulary because he doubts that any child would perceive his large vocabulary as something to be amazed or feared.

"Hmph, a midget like you won't be able to make your way up there, Aldrea is bound to kick you out, and if I catch you get even close to her, you'll regret it". He says while walking back into the park green field area where other kids at the moment were playing.

"What an obnoxious guy". Isaac thinks to himself as he goes up the spiral staircase to the top of the tree house. Admiring the design of this huge tree house as he goes up slowly.

"This is better than anything I've seen on Earth, I want to know who made this and trade notes". Isaac thinks excitedly while rubbing the tree and inspecting different design qualities of the tree house. When he had arrived at the top, he opened the door and was met with a wooden room that looked surprisingly cozy, almost equivalent to the inside of a normal household home.

More over, he saw Aldrea sitting in a chair staring out a window before both of their eyes met. In that bit of silence, Isaac could see just how lonely her eyes felt. The same eyes he saw when she was pushed into the water.

"Why is a girl this young know the pain of loneliness just like me". Isaac thought, remembering how his childhood albeit not as young as Aldrea, was filled with loneliness, but the only time he wasn't lonely was with his mother.

Aldrea sighed while closing her eyes and pointing at the door with her small hand.

"Leave". She said plainly staring at Isaac

"I can't provide you with what you want". She depressingly says before just staring back out the window with the same depressed look in her eyes.

"I don't want anything from you...now if you will excuse me...". Isaac continues to gush over the design points of the tree house, trying to take in as much as he could of this tree house as he could.

"You should leave, nothing good comes from those who hang with me". Aldrea states a few minutes later after observing Isaac who is just walking around and observing things.

"Why is that"? Isaac asks

"That idiot that was courting me always spread rumors about those who try to flirt with me or sometimes even beats them up bad-". Aldrea says plainly

"I don't care". Isaac stops her

"Excuse me"? Aldrea says momentarily stunned

"I". "Do". "Not". "Care". Isaac repeats every word slowly for her, so she could take it all in.

Aldrea only stares at Isaac, a kid who is smaller than most kids she has seen, and yet he isn't afraid of a child from a noble household, let alone ignoring her so profusely, it irked her.

"Fine, don't say I didn't warn you". She turns her back to Isaac and just closes her eyes with a displeased look on her face.

Isaac only shakes his head at the actions of Aldrea.

"Let alone being afraid of some person that was about 5, why should he fear anyone as a 2 year old? Who beats up a 2 year old anyway"? Shaking his head of the thought, Isaac continues to observe the tree house until he hears his name called by a familiar voice about an hour later, and looks outside the window to see Mr. Albatroz.

"Isaac, where are you"!? A frantic Mr. Albatroz's voice shouts out

Waving from the window, Isaac returns the question with his own shout

"I'm here, I'll come down"!

Isaac then immediately starts to head down the tree house to meet up with Mr. Albatroz who is waiting for him at the bottom. While leaving, Aldrea just stares at Isaac's back in thought, unbeknownst to Isaac.

"Isaac? I'll remember that name". Aldrea thinks to herself, as she notices how the sun is soon beginning to set. As the thought takes place in her mind, a flash of light, shows up behind Aldrea, and a man in a cobalt robe appears

"Ms. Lottway, it is time to head back to the mansion".

"Okay". Aldrea says plainly, as if the act of a man just teleporting to her was something so simple that it was mundane or normal. She gets up from the chair, and stands next to the man in the cobalt robe, and they both left in the same white light the man teleported into the tree house from.
