Chapter 3 - Reincarnation

Even though a butterfly's journey is a long one till it flies, this particular species barely lived past a week but sadly the black butterfly wasn't going to live past a day. Maybe due to it's colour or where it was born or maybe even the bestowed gift from the young princess. The butterfly was going to die as it's fluttering became more a battle then a blessing. Slowly it descended to the ground below in some old crumbled leaves on the forest floor.

The butterfly eventually came at a standstill, not once did it find love nor was it really considered a butterfly in this life. It shrivelled up and slowly fell apart as the wind carried it's remains away. Regardless of how sad it's passing was, no one would know, no one would mourn it's death, no one knew the black butterfly except the princess. But the princess wasn't alive to remember the insect or their brief moments together, so this was it for the colourless butterfly-

A soul was transferred to be reincarnated from Animila Goddess of animals || The God of Time Marius held a complex soul of a butterfly in his hands. It was unlike anything he'd seen in his entire centuries alive if not more.

= Why are you telling me this? Just reincarnate it in the animal kingdom-= spoke the God of Balance Cerbis before he was cut off by Marius.

But I think you should see this though, this soul seems to have been blessed ||

= A blessed soul, you're kidding right? That's nothing new in the animal kingdom, many nobles and magical beings bless their animals = and that was true, a noble or prestigious magical beings would bless or evolve their animals as servant, partners and in some cases Gods themselves.

Just take a look at it || showing the God of balance, Marius showed the soul of the black butterfly to him. Cerbis upon looking became just as fascinated as Marius, if not more due to such a balance tip with the soul.

= This soul was originally that of a butterfly that was just supposed to reincarnate as a butterfly? How and why would a pure blessed noble and magic user give up their life, magic and gift to it? = This wasn't something to take lightly. 'If the soul was reincarnated as an animal it could turn into a monster by mistake but also the balance and flow of time would be disturbed by such a powerful soul.'

What should we do Cerbis? || now holding the soul of the once black butterfly in his hands, Cerbis looked at the gates and at the large sand hourglass behind them both.

= I guess we have no choice then. We can't risk a balance tip or a flow of time standstill, we'll have to move the soul to reincarnate as another life form. = Marius at this news held a worried expression on his face, if they chose the wrong life form to reincarnate the soul to. It could end up worse then what they were originally working with. = However I'm ruling out every single animal and subspecies = concluded Cerbis as Marius watched in silence before speaking.

Are you going to reincarnate the soul into a human body? || he could see that happening but the body to hold the soul would have to be made. Completely from scratch considering the factors, that if not made, no other body can hold such a complex soul and that originally this soul wouldn't exist in the human reincarnation time flow. || Are you sure you want to deal with the consequences if the soul rejects the body? || 'if a soul rejects a body, the soul can be lost.'

= I'll take that responsibility. I'll just make it 100% impossible for the soul to reject the body = upon saying that Cerbis put the soul on a plush stand and got to work. He moulded a body of his own flesh, the flesh of the God of Balance to make sure the soul was balanced inside the encasement. He also refined the body to have detailed magical capacity so that the body wouldn't rot if the balance of magic exceeded balanced limits.

The God of Time watched on as Cerbis took care and time, layering a new layer of flesh after flesh.

You're getting a little carried away there Cerbis || chuckle joked Marius as Cerbis stopped and looked to Marius in upmost seriousness. || why are you looking at me like that? ||

= What gender do I make it?! = in a slight moment of shock before realisation, the God of Time Marius laughed at the God of Balance. As a God of balance there had to be a certain number of genders within each time frame, whether that meant genderless, male, female or other, it had to be acceptable.

Marius the God of Time would know the time of a new born, so to be specific, he needed to tell Cerbis the gender of the next baby to be born within the timeframe it took Cerbis to finish sculpting the body and send it to the human reincarnation time flow.

Marius for a moment went quiet and searched for the next baby to be born within a suitable area within the time flow to not seem suspicious or tip balance.

A baby boy is scheduled to be born 12 days from now, you'll be finished with that body in the next 9 and then I'll get to work on the interlining of the soul threads before sending it down in the next 3 days after. That way he'll be born on time and no blunders will be made ||

Nodding in understanding, Cerbis got back to work as he based the rest of the features off the new souls parents to be according to Marius.

= Alright I'm done, how's your side of things? = Cerbis ask as Marius held some coffee in one hand and was using his fingers of his other hand to delicately cut and replace soul threads.

I'm so tired and just annoyed at Animila for each mistake in these soul threads. || he sighed as Cerbis smirked.

= I thought you had a thing for the Goddess of Animals back in the day = he egged on as Marius, the God of Time looked up at Cerbis with a bored expression.

that was till I saw her future || the God of balance became interested in that statement but let it slide as Marius finished the last of the soul threads and cracked his neck. || I swear the human race thinks we have it so damn easy ||

Cerbis laughed as he folded the encasement and compressed it into the soul just in front of Marius.

= Well we have all the power Marius = he falsely gloated as Marius shook his head at the childish behaviour.

I still can't believe how old you are when you act like that ||

= speak for yourself you old prune, I'm fucken hot = Marius smirked at him before he grabbed the soul and gently put it in between a portion of the sand inside the massive hourglass. With this, the sand would slowly push the soul through time to reincarnate through a gate effectively.

= By the way Marius, didn't you also like men? = Cerbis asked as Marius simply ignored him and watched the soul slowly shrink as the sand went past it. = Touché =

The soul of the black butterfly bit by bit shrunk until finally it was shot down with the moving sand and pushed through time into a gate for human reincarnation. The soul signified with a butterfly symbol slowly changed to a human one as in was flung into total darkness.

The darkness however wasn't threatening but rather welcoming as the soul interlocked with the body of an unborn baby encasement. The body Cerbis God of balance had worked on was the adult final form but in order to reincarnate, the soul needed to be shrunk to that of a child through time itself. Which the end result being an unborn baby in the Mother's womb before the day of birth.

With the interlock of soul to flesh the sculptured body would be processed slowly in the stages of growth like a normal human being. Same soul, same body, just reversed through time and place accordingly.

The darkness eventually shifted and with the shift a light, a light so bright would blind anyone who saw it.

"My lord, it's a healthy boy"
