" Wait! "
Lady Sonya's firm voice sounded as she stalks towards two pair of couples in the middle of the room. "Fine then, we'll stop the mockery, if you," she points to Virendra. "If you ever manage to strike a big deal within this month, we'll leave him alone."
Virendra wanted to say no but also saw this as an opportunity. There's a lot of new contracts around the town so this should be a piece of cake, since she's been having lots of signed contracts before.
"Specifically from Black Diamond Palace." The lady add more.
"Then please do take an oath with everyone grandma and I'll accept the challenge." Virendra agreed. "Chale are you sure about this?" Gizem asked.
"Don't worry about me. This is the only thing I'm good at." Virendra spoke. and so an oath was taken and a challenge have been accepted.
It been a few days since the day they took an oath. As of now, she's still looking for something far more bigger of a deal to strike. Despite the hardship right now, she wants to have her family out of their household's mockery, it pains her the most.
*Ring**Ring**Ring*
The telephone's ringing filled Virendra's ears. As the sound alerted her, she quickly cleared her voice before picking the phone up.
"Hello, Valenshire Corporations. How may I help you?" She spoke elegantly with professionalism.
"Hello, this is secretary Perez of Black Diamond Palace. May I speak with Mrs. Virendra Bruce?" Literal Chills ran through her as she couldn't stop her smile from showing. She quickly got up from her chair with so much amazement.
"This is Varan- *ehem* Hello this is Virendra Bruce speaking." The shock and excitement are flowing through her as she spoke. Her grip on the phone tightens a bit as she tries to stop herself from squealing.
"I am calling on behalf of the Black Diamond Palace. I would like to make an appointment with you. Our president would love to negotiate about the Blue Tears of the Goddess. Can you set a date within this week?" Perez affirmatively spoke.
The Blue Tears of the Goddess is one of a kind gem the Valenshire acquired from a foreign merchant. The gem was a great oceanic blue that reflects lights as it graze upon them. It is said that only the queen of England was the other owner of the other pair. It is one of the most expensive gems that is in par of those natural colored diamonds.
"Is tomorrow good madam?" Virendra asked without hesitation. Despite the meeting with La's owner, she'd rather cancel it than miss the opportunity with the Black Palace.
"Yes, the sooner the better." Perez honestly spoke.
At the end of the day, Virendra managed to seal a verbal deal with the Black Diamond Palace Head Secretary. Humming while skipping down the building from her own office, Virendra is happily walking towards her car before fishing her phone out to call Gizem to share such good news.
[Hey hun, guess what?] she happily greeted.
[You sound excited, is there something going on?] Gizem asks.
[You won't believe what I'm about to tell you!] she squeals in the parking area as she opens the car door.
[Did you finally won a lottery ticket?] he jest as he chuckles.
[Gizem Shahan!] she claimed as she laughs with him. She never won one in those lottery tickets.
[So, what is it?] Gizem asks lovingly to his lovable wife. He always tend to dote on her in everyway he knew how to.
[I've landed a meeting with the Black Diamond! The Bort especially asked for me!] she squeals as she starts the mobile.
[I'll tell you everything once I've reached home. Where are you right now?] she quickly spoke.
[At home, being a lovely husband, faithfully waiting for his lovable wife.] he dramatically answer.
[Oh shush hahaha, see you soon hun! I love youuuu] she exclaims.
[I love you the most love.] and the call ended.
[Hello Mr. Mcnair.] Lhianne, the head secretary of the black Diamond Palace or also known as Bort Palace spoke as soon as the call pushed through.
[Speak.] a cold, emotionless voice spoke.
[I've acquired the opportunity to talk with Mrs. Bruce of Valenshire and made an appointment within the week. Who will I assign to meet her for tomorrow sir?] she professionally inquire.
[Good. I want the stone no matter the cost. Set it up with mr. Franks of the marketing department.] he spoke, fishing out the best newbie in the said department.
[Noted sire. Is there anything you would like for me to do?]
[Bring a bouquet of lavender balsamina impatiens to my office.] he spoke
[Right away sir.]
As the call ended, Mr. Mcnair looked out the window of the tall building as his swivel points towards the clear orange sky.
"A little gift for your wife, man?" a certain gentleman asks sitting on an office sofa across the room.
"It won't hurt." he answered.
"Well I better get going, me and my girlfriend plans a great night." the man stood up as he brush and straighten his vest. Taking the jacket on the table and heading towards the office doors.
"Well I'll see you soon enough Mcnair. Let's try to keep the business afloat." he jest an Mcnair turns around before throwing a pen at the man and chuckling with him.
"Just get out loverboy." he joked back before standing himself.
"Bon voyage!" the man laugh before leaving.
As soon as the doors closed, it quickly opened again. Lhianne entered the room and brought the bouquet to the man.
"Here's what you have ordered sire." taking the bouquet, Mcnair smiled as he looks at it.
"You may go home now Perez." he spoke dignified.
"Thank you sir." she answered and left the room swiftly.
He quickly put on his suit jacket and out the room. The flowers in hand he walks towards the big halls of the Bort top floor. He turned to a corner and walk up straight to where the lift is. While waiting, Lhianne was able to catch up to him and the two waited together.
"Are you having a great dinner tonight sir?" Lhianne ask trying to make a small conversation between her and her boss.
"I'd like to keep my life private." he spoke indifferently despite smiling at the thought of his wife awhile ago.
Despite the tense awkward atmosphere, Lhianne still tried to go after her boss in a way.
"I know this great restaurant in town, since you might be new to the area, I might show you around if you'd like sir, that is if you-"
Before she could even finish her sentence, she was cut off by Mcnair dismissively.
"I grew up here ms. Perez, you might be under the impression of me being friendly jut because you saw me one time, but I'd appreciate it if you would only talk to me unless it is business matters."
As the lift chimes, Mcnair left the woman with a gaping mouth and a red face. He doesn't intend to be that rude but he doesn't need the extra woman attention. He knew it would only create chaos in the future.
As the number goes down, as well the lift, he found himself, fixing his clothes and ruffling his hair. He removed his suit and change his shoes into running shoes, feeling comfortable. When the lift comes to stop and opens, a different man walks outside towards his ride.
As Virendra reaches the gate of the big mansion, the guards opened it for her. She quickly parked her car and took her things out, running happily to look for his husband. As he enters the room, he was greeted by his mother who just got home from visiting an ill friend.
"Momma!" she greeted happily and excited.
"I've got great news to tell! Where's papa and Gizem?" she quickly anounced.
"Honey, I just got home and your dad called that he's gonna be early tonight. I'm not sure where's Gizem though." her mother answered sweetly. She smiled seeing how hyper her daughter's emotions were.
Virendra left her mother in an excuse to look for Gizem and change clothes as well. She quickly ran to their room but she was welcome by an empty bedroom. She looked for him in the bathroom and the kitchen but to no avail.
'where have he gone off to?' she asks herself as she walks towards the doors to go outside. Before she could reach the doors, it opened and a Gizem holding a bouquet of flowers walked in, he was also holding a paper bag with a ribbon. Virendra's eyes quickly lit up and ran to her husband.
"Where were you?!" she asks as she hugs him. Gizem hugs her back, basking in her scent.
"I went out to buy these" he answered, raising the flower and the bag to show her. "You sound extremely happy on the phone so I can't face you empty handed." she blindly and truthfully answered which made her smile.
"You don't have to, you know."
"Well I want to."
"Oh you two are here, don't stand at the entranceway, at least go to the living room lovebirds." Hera teased the two.
'Mooommm!" Virendra bashfully whine at her mother's remarks out of embarrassment which made Hera and Gizem laugh.
