Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Encountering Cultivators.

Despite the bear's reluctance, it understood it had no choice but to comply. Ye Jingyi proceeded to inquire, firing one question after another. Rather than directly asking about the world, he focused on the surrounding area, inhabitants, and various aspects.

Through this method, Ye Jingyi gradually extracted useful information and deduced that this world differed significantly from his previous one. Their civilization and practices followed a unique path, emphasizing cultivation and cultivators.

The bear frequently mentioned these terms, emphasizing the existence of formidable cultivators beyond the forest. According to the bear, some could bend rivers and overturn mountains with a mere gesture. Ye Jingyi, baffled, had three question marks figuratively plastered on his forehead. Bend the river? Overturn the mountain? What on earth?

While Ye Jingyi could achieve similar feats through technology, the key distinction lay in the people of this world accomplishing such feats without external assistance. Even individuals with superpowers in his world couldn't compare. Consequently, he found the information highly dubious, suspecting the bear of having a vivid imagination, perhaps a touch of eighth-grade syndrome.

Considering the tumor in the bear's mind, Ye Jingyi offered to heal it with genuine concern. The bald bear, however, reacted with instant rage, roaring, "Humans, don't go too far! You can insult me, but you cannot doubt my intelligence! In the whole tribe, I was the smartest!"

Amused by the bear's claim, Ye Jingyi wanted to test its intelligence and potentially sow doubt about its own capabilities.

As he prepared to engage the bear in this mental tug-of-war, Lexi's voice interrupted, "Di... Di… High-Level energy fluctuation detected! Location: 20 Kilometers in the North West…"

Instantly alert, Ye Jingyi contemplated the significance of a high-level fluctuation. Could it be a conflict or a battle? Excitement surged within him, and he contemplated joining the fray. Perhaps he could encounter another human and explore the possibilities of controlling their minds rather than extracting information.

Decided, he turned to the bear, announcing, "Okay, you can go now. I'll be leaving." The once furious bear, now bewildered, questioned in doubt, "Are you serious?"

"Yes! Off you go." Ye Jingyi waved his hand impatiently, signaling the bear to depart.

Checking the energy bar, Ye Jingyi noted that half of it had replenished, giving him the green light to activate flight mode without concern. With this in mind, he manipulated the Nano Suit, summoning a pair of wings onto his back.

As the wings gracefully flapped, Ye Jingyi ascended into the air, leaving the bewildered bear behind. "Was that a human? Or is he a bird? Or a Birdman?" the bear mumbled to himself. Shaking his head with a chuckle, he dismissed the thought, "Whatever, I'm free now. It was really scary to sit with that pervert. Let's go home. Playing outside is dangerous."

With that declaration, the bear shook his ample belly and sprinted toward his home, oblivious to the small, mosquito-sized orb discreetly nestled in his black hair.

…..

At this moment, Ye Jingyi gracefully shuttled through the forest, flying towards the location of the energy fluctuation. He had left a tracker orb on the bear, ensuring he could retrieve it later—it was excellent experimental material with numerous mysteries waiting to be explored.

Approaching the energy fluctuation site, Ye Jingyi activated the Nano Combat suit's camouflage function. Instantly, he vanished like a chameleon; the naked eye couldn't discern his presence, rendering ultrasonic equipment and infrared detectors useless against this advanced camouflage. Lowering his flight speed, he discreetly approached the location.

Upon arrival, he witnessed a scene that left him wide-mouthed and wide-eyed. Eight people were gathered—four wielding swords, two men and two women. A pair of men and women, dressed in Daoist robes, stood closely together. An old man behind them held flags, muttering something.

All seven of them directed killing attacks at a woman in a bright red dress, revealing her curves as the fabric clung to her body. Unfortunately, her face remained obscured by a veil. However, the true shock came from the sight of four swords flying around these people. Telekinesis? Ye Jingyi pondered as he sought a hiding spot, observing the others.

Two people wearing Daoist robes had silhouettes of beasts behind them. Mutant superpowers? Ye Jingyi speculated that this was a clash between superhumans. Despite their impressive displays, the old man with the flags appeared lackluster, yet Ye Jingyi sensed he was likely the most dangerous person on the field.

Others, consciously or unconsciously, protected the old man, while the woman in the red dress fought fiercely against all odds. Ye Jingyi marveled at her ability to hold her own against seven adversaries. The battleground showcased various sword techniques, and the aftermath of their battle sent shockwaves through the surroundings, knocking trees and creating deep craters in the overturned ground.

Reflecting on the bear's words, "Overturning the river, flipping the river," Ye Jingyi concluded, "So they are cultivators?"
