The mayor slashed his sword down at Lirian, intending to teach him a lesson, but in the next moment his eyes opened wide in shock and disbelief.
One second Lirian was right in front of him but in the next he disappeared from the mayors sight, and in the next moment the mayor heard a loud ringing sound.
CLANG.
The sound of metal striking metal rung out in a sharp crisp note, the mayor suddenly felt a strong resistance in his arm that was holding the sword, and when he blinked again he saw Lirian standing there right in front of him like he never moved.
The only difference being that Lirian's hand that was holding onto the cane was extended outwards, and the tip of his sword was in the centre of the metal coin on the bottom of the cane.
