Lirian was seated within one of the cultivation chambers of the keep and the shadow elemental was floating just a few inches away.
A look of serious contemplation could be seen across Lirian's face as he considered assimilating the elemental, he wasn't giving it so much thought because he didn't want to assimilate it.
It was after all a shadow elemental, Lirian would choose the shadow elemental over almost any other elemental and held it in high regard on a level similar to the space elemental.
Shadow energy was useful, there was no other way to put it, it was one of the most useful elements in existence and anyone would be a fool to discard it.
The reason for the seriousness was due to the level of the elemental, it was a fifth grade elemental, four entire levels above Lirian, while amazing it didn't pose well for Lirian who was only half way through the ranks of a first grade cultivator.
