The staff bowed when Kathleen and Carlos entered the hotel.
"Welcome!"
The lobby manager recognized Carlos and enthusiastically welcomed him. "Mr. Reeves, you're here. This way, please."
Carlos nodded and pulled Kathleen toward the table by the window.
The manager smiled obsequiously. "Mr. Reeves, you haven't been here in a while!"
Carlos smiled, "That's true. I brought my fiancée this time!"
The manager looked at Kathleen and exclaimed, "Oh, so this is your fiancée. She's lovely. It's a pleasure to meet you!"
"I shall gift this beautiful young lady a piece of rose cake on the house!"
The waitress at the side nodded. "Yes, sir!"
"Please take your time looking through our menu. I will leave you two alone!" the manager said and walked away.
Kathleen darted a glance at Carlos. "Do you come here often?"
"Yeah, I do."
Kathleen nodded. "Oh!"
