"Thank you in advance," Nancy thanked Erwin.
Erwin drove Nancy home.
Nancy was exhausted from the past few days. Not long after, Nancy closed her eyes in exhaustion and fell asleep.
Erwin's heart ached when he saw Nancy's Haggard face.
He slowly parked his car by the side of the road.
He took off his suit jacket and gently draped it over Nancy's shoulders.
Then, he continued to drive.
He drove home slowly.
The three-hour drive had taken Erwin twice as long.
By the time he reached home, the sky was already dark.
At this time, Nancy was still sleeping soundly. There was no sign of her waking up at all.
Erwin parked the car and got out.
He walked to Nancy's side and opened the car door. In a gentle motion, he carried Nancy in his arms.
Nancy's small face was pressed against his chest.
Erwin strode forward and steadily carried Nancy into the villa.
