This was originally just an unimportant detail.
When Kathleen and the others returned to the villa, the new maid, Marinda, immediately came over, "Young master, you're back?"
Kathleen frowned.
She felt that this girl was a little too enthusiastic.
The girl seemed to have only just realized Kathleen was there and immediately smiled as she said, "Ms. Yates, you must be the one which the young master's most doted on, right?"
"You're so pretty. No wonder young master likes you!"
Kathleen's brows furrowed even more tightly.
Barkley hurriedly walked over, "Marinda, you can't talk to Ms. Yates like that!"
He reprimanded her like that.
Barkley immediately looked at John and Kathleen and said, "Young master, Ms. Yates, this is my distant niece, Marinda. She grew up in the countryside and is very simple-minded."
"She is also very polite and would never speak like this."
