John turned his head and saw that the children had arrived. His body trembled. "Why are you all here?"
"Mommy..." Tommy and Anne saw Kathleen and ran madly into her arms.
"Tommy and Anne, how did you know that I was here?"
In order to not let them worry, Kathleen had specially instructed them not to let them know that she had been injured and hospitalized.
Tommy said, "Mommy, don't even think about hiding it from us."
Kathleen's heart trembled, and her grayish-white eyes were filled with heartache.
How intelligent were the two children? It would not be easy to hide from them.
"Mommy, what happened to you? Why are you hospitalized? Are you injured?"
Anne came out from Kathleen's embrace and raised his head to look at her eyes.
The children could tell that something was wrong with Kathleen's eyes. "Mommy, what happened to your eyes?"
