Kathleen had returned to Hillford for a while. After paying her respects to Luther, she looked at the city where she had grown up and could not help but stay for a few more days. She had seen with her own eyes that John had gone to the cemetery.
When John appeared in front of her grave, her heart trembled violently. It had been four years. His hair had actually turned much whiter, and his legs were no longer as nimble as before.
There was no trace of his past in his haggard appearance. The man who had once dominated the world and caused countless women to be infatuated with him had disappeared. He looked like an old man!
In the past four years, she had not wanted to ask about him, nor did she want to mention anything about Hillford. However, she had never been happy before.
Perhaps this was a knot in her heart that she did not want to untie.
Or perhaps she wanted to completely resolve this knot in her heart and make it all go away.
