Avery was very excited when she had heard that Danzo was coming back. She knew that it meant he would become the Alpha soon and was pretty sure he would choose her. She had done everything perfectly and everyone in the pack knew her and loved and respected her.
She usually went to the pack house on to help the current Luna out with her duties and the Luna liked her too. You see her father was the Beta so her relationship with the Alpha and Luna went way back and her father had put in a word to the Alpha to make her the Luna and she had been taught from a young age what to do and how a Luna behaves ever since they had had the tragedy which had befallen Danzo.
Avery wanted to be present when Danzo came home so she went to the Alpha's house under the pretence of helping the Luna. She found the Luna cooking a feast.
"Good morning Luna."
"Ah morning Avery. What brings you here today?" Lucinda asked.
"I thought that it's been long since I have helped you so here am I."
"That's so sweet of you my dear. I am cooking some food for the children so you can help me."
"Okay, what do I need to do?"
Lucinda told her what she needed to do and she went with the flow. They worked well together and Lucinda couldn't help but wish that his son chooses Avery and plus to this situation was that they had been friends since they were kids.
"Um Luna." Avery called her as it was time to put her plan into action.
"Yes dear."
"I heard from Dad that the Alpha is retiring from the King's company and will be handing over the ropes to Danzo so I wanted to ask about the PA job."
"Owh that, the interviews have already started and we looking for the best candidate that will put up with him."
"I am also interested in applying for the spot so what do I need to do?"
Lucinda stopped what she was doing and thought that this will be the best opportunity to even bring them more closer.
"But you are overqualified for that job Avery."
"I don't mind Luna really. I really want this job."
"Okay there's no need to conduct any interview. You have got the job."
"Really!" She beamed up in happiness.
"Yes." The Luna replied and she screamed and went to hug Lucinda.
They continued with their work and when they were done they went to give the food to the pack children. The children were the most important thing in the pack as they were the next generation.
***********
Alana had finally set foot in her motherland she hadn't seen for four years. Finally she was back home now. She went to collect her bags and found Blaire already waiting for her.
"Blaire!" She went to hug her.
"Oh My God it's been so long, how are you? You look good."
"Just breath Lana, Jesus one question at a time okay." Blaire said laughing.
"I missed you so much." Alana said because besides being family Blaire was the closest thing to a friend she had.
"I missed you too babe." Blaire said hugging her.
They went to get a taxi and went home. They found Helena and Raizana already waiting for them and my God they had prepared a feast. When Raizana saw Alana she gasped out loud and dropped the bottle of champagne she had been holding. Alana was the girl she had seen years ago.
" Raiz are you really that shocked and excited to see me that you broke your bottle."
"Um yes my dear I was so shocked you look so grown and you are woman now." Raizana said gaining her composure.
Helena was just so happy that her grandbaby was back now. They dined and had fun. Helena had told everyone from their neighborhood that her granddaughter was now back and was back as an event planner.
With the help of her Nana, Raizana and Blaire, Alana opened up an event planning company. She started off small but really hit it off by planning an engagement party for a rich couple. People started hiring her company more oftenly and she was getting more bookings. She made sure to give it all her best.
Raizana had decided to permanently stay with Helena and Alana plus Blaire was working with Alana at their company.
"Aunt Raiz."
Raizana looked at the distraught Alana coming to sit next to her
"Yes baby."
"Can I ask you something?"
"Go ahead."
"You always say that you are a fortune teller right and you do all those weird stuff like when I was little you snapped your fingers and the lights went on."
"Lana where is this going?"
"What I want to ask is that is magic real?" Raizana choked on her wine.
"What makes you say that baby?" Helena happened to walk in.
"That's totally crazy baby magic is not real."
"This is the reason why I asked Raizana and not you Nana because you always say am crazy and am not."
"You want me to prove it right?" Alana said getting angry.
"No need Nova, magic is real." Raizana finally said because she knew that of they continued with this they will only be pushing her away.
"You see Nova, we come from a bloodline of very powerful witches.."
"Witches are real?" Alana gasped on hearing that.
"They were."
"Were?"
"Yes as generations went on the magic got diluted and slowly we lost our powers that's why I can do simple things like switching on the lights and closing the door."
Helena looked at Raizana with a well done look. They had told Lana the half truth except the fact that witches were in full power there was no dilution of whatsoever they were still strong as ever.
"So you can't raise people from the dead?"
"No ways that's just against the laws of nature." She said laughing.
"Thank you for explaining this to me Aunt now I know am not crazy."
"So tell me about the reason which made you ask me that." Raizana was really curious.
"Well Aunt when I was at London studying, I realised that whenever I cried it rained and when I was happy it became sunny and the flowers around me bloomed and when I got sad it just became cloudy but I haven't tried being angry."
"So what you are trying to say is that your emotions control the weather? Now that I don't believe."
"Fine I will prove it." Alana said to her aunt and started crying but it didn't rain.
"Why is it not working?" She asked herself.
"For a second there I thought you weren't kidding." Raizana laughed.
Alana got angry and when she was about to exit the room Blaire opened the door, hitting her on her forehead and she fell down and cried out in pain her tears fell. Everyone rushed to help her.
"Look it's raining." Alana said realising it and everyone saw it too.
"Well I'll be damned." Everyone said at the same time and started laughing.
"Well you were right we are sorry for doubting you." Raizana finally said and left them to attend some business.
