Somewhere around the bushes, three students were squatting while observing the building not far away from them.
.
"Hey, as they have only one dorm, does that mean that boys and girls are in one building?" Kyle asked.
"Yeah, I think so. It won't be bad, right?" Bianca replied and questioned back.
"If they have rotten cores, then the dorm would probably turn into something bad," Kyle chuckled dryly. He hoped that such a case didn't happen and that those from Class Seven weren't beasts.
"Anything else you noticed?" Ninia finally spoke.
"Nothing, but I can sense that there are some of them in the dorm. However, the dorm has a barrier around it, so I can't make an estimation," Kyle said while he was using his mana sense to scout the people inside the dorm. But with the barrier around the dorm, it would be hard to scan deeper, unless he wanted to alert the academy.
Every building in Costina had barriers around them to keep it safe. But not all of the buildings had a barrier that stopped mana detection or mana sensing from outside. Only the dorms had them to retain the privacy of the students.
"Shall we approach them?" Bianca offered, but Kyle suddenly raised his hand. "Wait, there are people coming."
Kyle pointed at the people who were coming to the Class Seven Dorm. Bianca also went to take a look and instantly recognized the person who was at the front.
"Leonhart Vizil!" Bianca said in shock. It was one of the faction leaders of Class Two. He was grinning happily while walking together with his minions toward the dorm.
"It seems we have a chance to watch something interesting," Kyle said. "I wish I had some popcorn." He sighed.
"Hey! This is not a relaxing matter! What if they try to establish a good relationship with them first!" Bianca panicked, but Kyle and even Ninia looked calm.
"Heh." Kyle laughed softly. "That crazy guy? He won't do anything like that. Rather he will try to test Class Seven."
"What?" Bianca looked confused.
"You see, to him, Class Seven is a place full of talent and possibly a threat to his supremacy. Do you think that once he has conquered his class, he will stop? He will try to conquer other classes as well."
"But why target Class Seven now?"
"Because Class Seven is the hot topic on campus and a class with privilege. Imagine if he can defeat people from Class Seven, his fame will increase, and his position will become more solid. On top of that, Class Seven will have a massive decrease in fame and expectations."
"He probably will say something like this, 'Huh! Class Seven, there was nothing special to them!' like that," Kyle mimicked.
"This will be helpful to us, won't it?" Ninia added.
"Yes, if we play this carefully, we can take the side of Class Seven and pressure Class Two down. He is basically giving us a chance!" Kyle grinned, but then he turned serious. "But there is a possibility that Class Seven will not like us, because, willingly or not, Leonhart is the one who makes the first impression of regular students seem bad."
"Should we stop him?" Bianca looked at the dorm in worry.
"No need, let's just watch." Kyle grinned. It was fortunate that they had the best view to look at the dorm's entrance.
.
"Hey, Class Seven!" Leonhart shouted loudly. "Come out!"
"Wow, he is truly provoking them!" Kyle whistled. If Leonhart had come with the intention of befriending Class Seven, he wouldn't do such a thing.
It didn't take long for the students of Class Seven to come out from the dorm. They looked confused and curious about what was happening.
"What is it?" asked one of them. A young man with dark blue hair and steel-gray eyes.
"Bianca, write that person down. The one with dark blue hair and gray eyes. He is strong," told Kyle out of nowhere. Bianca took a moment to process it before she opened her book and started to write it down.
"How strong?" Ninia asked.
"Stronger than Eric and Friena," Kyle said without looking at her.
"Are you serious?" Bianca exclaimed in shock. Her reaction was normal. Everyone in Class Three knew that Eric and Friena were strong, and most of them couldn't defeat both. If this person from Class Seven was stronger than Eric, it would already be a big problem.
"Yes, not only that, those with him, while not as strong as him, have potential," added Kyle. "Write them down."
While observing, the talks were going on in front of the dorm.
.
"Are you the leader of Class Seven?" Leonhart asked. The man with dark blue hair frowned but answered nonetheless. "No, why are you looking for our Class President?"
"You look strong, but it seems you are not the leader. Is your leader stronger?" Leonhart walked closer.
"Leadership doesn't necessarily mean to be the strongest," retorted the dark blue-haired one.
"Really? But if the leader is weak, there will be no one willing to follow?" Leonhart taunted.
"Are you insinuating that our Class President is also a general or something?"
"General? Well, yes, after all, you must have known about the class competition."
"That's an entirely different matter. Class President is for class, and during combat, there will be someone else."
"Is that person you, then?" The situation got tenser when Leonhart took another step forward.
.
"Someone is coming," Kyle noted, and he looked in the direction where that person was coming. It was a girl with long black hair tied into a ponytail and dark golden eyes. She was carrying a plastic bag in her hand.
While walking, she noticed people gathered at the front of the dorm. She frowned for a moment before turning her expression back to normal and walking past them.
Unfortunately, she had caught Leonhart's attention.
"And who is this? You also look strong," said Leonhart, which halted the girl from entering the dorm. She turned to him while tilting her head, then turned to the dark blue-haired one.
"Who are they?" she asked.
"Students from another class, you can go inside," the young man urged.
"Ah, wait," Leonhart interrupted. "By the looks of it, only the two of you are strong, and the rest are weak." He taunted with a smile. "Perfect, I want to fight you guys," he added. His words perfectly soured the mood. It became apparent that Class Seven began to dislike him.
"The hell is he saying?" the girl mumbled while turning around completely. "Who the hell are you?"
"How rude!" one of Leonhart's minions shouted in anger. "You are standing in front―"
"Stop it." Leonhart raised his hand, and the minion immediately stopped. "My name is Leonhart Vizil from Class Two. I'm here to challenge you in a duel. To prove that Class Seven is nothing special."
"He sure talks big," the girl commented. "So you are a noble, huh? Your life must be pampered a lot, and nobody scolds you for talking so stupidly."
"O-Oi, Mina." The dark blue-haired young man became panicked when the girl talked rudely.
"Hoh, you bark alright, but can you bite as well." But before the girl could respond, Leonhart turned his body. "I'll give the formal challenge later. See you later, Class Seven," he spoke in a taunting manner at the end. He and his minions walked away from Class Seven's dorm.
"How strong is she?" Bianca urged Kyle.
"Stronger than Eric and Friena," he answered again, but then he turned to Ninia. "Perhaps on the same level as you." That made Ninia's eyes brighten. He guessed that she wanted to test whether what he said was true or not.
"Alright, let's approach them," Bianca said after she wrote down what she had heard. The other two followed her toward the dorm. The students of Class Seven also noticed them and gave them a questioning look.
