Deus' attack seemed to have overpowered Haize since Deus' attack appeared to be more oppressive than Haize's attack. But upon closer look, one could notice that Haize was overpowering Deus' attack.
The concentrated heat as well as the enhanced sharpness from Haize's demon fire claws were melting through Deus' bone hammer. But how could Deus allow that?
Even if Haize was clearly stronger than him in terms of sheer power, Deus was confident that his skills far surpassed Haize.
And to prove that, Deus used his <{Osteoporosis}> authority to weaken Haize's bones. Of course, a demon lord's bones were far stronger than a human warrior's and if he used his authority to weaken Haize's overall bones, it might not show that much effect.
But Deus wasn't dumb enough to do that. He had already achieved decent control over his authorities.
