The vampire dashed to Mia and attacked with his claws Mia destroyed the claws from the vampire and let out a burst of mana also out when she broke them. The burst of mana threw both Mia and the vampire back, but Mia got caught from Kio "Thanks" she said when getting caught "We are a team so of course I do that" Kio said it natural, and he let Mia stand on her own feet's. Kio started to shoot then where he saw the vampire the last moment, but he only hit the wall of the cave.
The vampire was in the dark and Kio had to trust Mia so he could know where the vampire remotely was. Mia looked around but did not see the vampire she thought that he escaped as she did not even feel his Aether "Wait a minute! KIO SHOOT ABOVE US" Mia screamed those words in a sudden and Kio only followed them and shoot above his head. The vampire was there, and the bullets hit his body while they did not penetrate deeply, they did damage him.
The vampire fell on the ground "How did you know I was there" the vampire sounded angry, but he got shot at the head only from Kio who took the chance of the vampire using the time to talk to attack him. The vampire used his wings to block the bullets Mia then ran to the vampire to deliver the last blow, the vampire then tried the last thing he could manipulate their blood `This will take a huge impact, but I will at least recover a bit when I drink their blood".
The vampire walked to Mia he wanted to drink her blood first as he felt her strength the vampire bite in Mia neck, but his fangs could not penetrate her neck `Dammit did my fangs really become so weak just how much time had passed since the last time I have bitten someone 'the vampire then walked to Kio as he realized his fangs had become too weak. "So, you go to the weak when you can't kill the strong" Mia tried to provoke the vampire, but it was no use the vampire did not fall to it as Mia wanted him to fall which was bad.
"You shall become my food then" Kio life flashed right in front of his eyes he felt the pain from the vampire fangs his blood was getting sucked dry, and Kio felt how his blood was getting sucked even thought it was just for some seconds it felt longer for Kio maybe because he was dying.
The vampire had let go of Kio corpse as if it was just some kind of object. He wiped the blood that was at his mouth away, but he then felt how the blood from Mia was increasing "What the" he looked to Mia but the next thing he saw was the katana of her penetrating his head. "You..." He was still alive the vampire was not dead, but Mia did not wait so she pulled out her sword and without a delay she slashed the vampire head off and finally the vampire had died. The vampire body turned to ash and Mia ran to Kio she touched his body which was cold she cried "You cannot die I won't allow you to die" she cut her waist making it bleed and with the blood she wrote curses and enchantments on Kio dead body.
She said words to activate enchantments the words she said and the ones she had written on Kio were healing enchantments and restoration of a human, but they did not work so she said demonic enchantments which are used to reanimate the dead while they still have their own mind. `This must work even if it never worked when I used it till now but please today it must´.
Darkness Kio saw darkness only "Is this death?" he asked himself "I think so" he answered himself again he accepted that he was dead, but that death would be like that surprised Kio. He didn't expect to still be aware what happens after death he believed that there is nothing after death. Seems he was not so wrong after all there was indeed nothing after death as there was nothing Kio walked around the nothing with nothing to do and walking in the nothing made him see something that was the thing Mia was trying to do.
"She is trying too safe me?" that surprised Kio he knew that he and Mia were close but did not expect them to be so close. He heard the words she was saying the words of desperation trying to save him even though it was completely useless he is dead he died Kio knew he will not come back alive as reviving the dead to normal living being was a rare power that only some specific people have mostly religious people have it.
Kio watched Mia continue her trying to save him. Kio started to feel tired his breathing also became faster he slowly could not breathe anymore the darkness around him started to feel like it had air and it was going away. Kio had lost his conscious n the place he had been `Will I go to the afterlife or so now? 'The thoughts of these felt terrifying for Kio he did not exactly know why but something about it scared him.
Kio thought he would go to the afterlife but no it was wrong it was not going to the afterlife but rather he had awoken back to life. Mia hugged Kio she was crying she thought she had lost Kio forever now, but he was saved. He was saved not from Mia but from somebody else a someone who was powerful.
"I' am so happy that you are alive I' am just so happy that you are alive" The tears of hers were falling to the ground. "What did you do Mia!?" he pushed her away and grabbed her shoulders he was scared that she had done something that would cost her life. Mia could see the fear that Kio had she was trying to say something, but a man voice was heard the two looked with Kio being surprised but Mia had not been surprised. "I told you that I can bring him back to life just as I had promised it".
