Chapter 239: Four Balls Of Light
First thing first: Junk dropped Pepo onto the ground. Avoided to think too much about Lord Monsoon, just said to them about them being too late and pulled his huge and sharp battle ax out again.
He instantly charged at Monsoon and swung at him, meaning to end his life once and for all. The demonic knight swung at Monsoon's, fully intending to kill him, but unfortunately his attack was blocked. It was almost as if there was a force field interrupting his attack. No. it wasn't as if it was the case—it was the case. There was a force field. An invisible force field preventing from hitting him in the back,
What the hell is this? Junk thought at that moment.
"Huh? Why can't I attack this ass-hole?" She asked himself.
"A force field?" Pepo mentioned out loud as she began understanding what was happening here. Junk couldn't attack him.
"Um? A force field? Really?" He asked after hearing what the pumpkin woman had to say regarding this little surprise.
"Hey. You thought it was going to be that easy, huh?" Lord Monsoon slightly turned his head to the demon knight behind him.
"Don't worry. I got you," he promised him and began swinging his battle ax as soon as possible again. He hit the invisible force field around him for the second time… For the third… For the fourth time… For the fifth time… And it still didn't make any effect. The massive blade of his battle ax kept bouncing and reflecting off the resilient force field. His weapon never broke, but it was definitely a possibility if he kept at it and continued swinging at the force field much longer. He had to stop and find a solution, and fast.
"You were saying?" Lord Monsoon dared mocking him.
"What are you doing in this cave in the first place? Playing with your balls?" It was Junk's turn to make fun of him a bit.
"Make fun of me all you want… These balls… As you call them, they contain much more power than you could ever imagine."
"Balls of power? What the fuck are you saying?"
"These balls… He's right… They're important…"
"What?" Junk quickly turned to Pepo, who was still down on the ground. She had a bit of trouble getting up.
"They… They represent all the four…" She tried saying.
"That's right! These four balls represent the four seasons of our world. They represent the four tribes, which rule over our world. The yellow light represents the Summer tribe. The red light represents the Autumn tribe, which September and her sister, Bridget, are the two leaders of. The blue light represents the Winter Tribe. And finally, the green light represents the Spring tribe. All the four seasons. They possess so much power. Unfortunately, these tribes are not working together. At all. They are not at peace with one another. It's a shame. I am going to change that. Everything is going to change today. Let there be some peace," Lord Monsoon finally explained a good chunk of his plan to the demon knight and Pepo.
"And how are you intending to bring peace to all of those tribes? What is your big plan?" Junk interrogated him.
"The four seasons have only been in peace with one another once, and it was thousands of years ago…" The pumpkin woman pointed out to Lord Monsoon, still attempting to get back up on her feet, but she didn't have enough energy to do so, unfortunately.
"That's right. It has been over four-thousand years since the last time there was actual peace between the four seasons. Many tried making peace between the prices over the last couple of years, but all of them failed. This time… This is different. This time it's going to work," he explained to them as he continued performing this strange ritual, which had originally begun long before. The balls of light moved again, and they shone, brighter than it was the case before. Lord Monsoon raised his arms into the air and as soon as he did that, the balls of light were intertwined with one another.
At first, it was like the balls of light were dancing with one another, but that wasn't actually what was going on. Something else was happening… The four orbs were moving so fast that it was complicated to keep up with them as they were flying from one side of the room to another. They were buzzing with so much blinding light that the Halloween knight often had to close his eyes for a couple of seconds before being able to re-open them. He wasn't going to let some light permanently blinding him.
"What are you doing?" The demon knight shouted at him. Fuelled with rage and sheer will for stopping this cursed pig. He knew he was the one who had to stop him, but he simply didn't know how. He had to find a way. If his Witch Queen, September, was here, she'd tell him how to stop him, but she was, unfortunately, not here…
"He is… He is attempting to unite the different shades of magic of the four different seasons of the spectrum…" Pepo barely managed to whisper to Junk as she was losing more and more energy. She felt like she was, sadly, soon about to collapse for good.
"He is combining different types of magic?" He asked.
"Before I go: Do you want to know how I intend to make everyone happen by uniting the four different seasons, huh?"
"What do you have in mind, Lord Monsoon?" She asked.
"Tell me! Tell me, you ass-hole!" Junk snapped at him.
"This way is the only way: The solution can be described with only one, little word… Harem…" Monsoon finally revealed.
"Harem?" Junk asked, pretty surprised.
"A harem?" Pepo was just as surprised as he was.
"I am going to become the first monster to unite the four different seasons by making the Witch Queens of all seasons my wives in my harem. This is the only way to bring peace to this world."
