Chapter 229: It's You & Me!

Junk shielded September.

Protecting her. Guarding her at all costs.

He prevented her from getting attacked by Lord Monsoon. All of a sudden, September took a lot of this a lot more seriously now. She was still aroused, but she could see that Junk wasn't messing around earlier and that what he was telling was the truth. There was indeed a dark shadow, intruding on the village, spying in the woods. Junk was right. He simply didn't have any idea that it was Lord Monsoon all along.

"Don't even think about touching her, you bastard!"

"Junk…" She whispered as she was in the arms of the knight.

"So protective of her…" Lord Monsoon observed.

"You have seen nothing yet…" The demon knight responded to him as he brought the Witch Queen somewhere safer in the forest. At least ten feet away from the swine monster. A meadow now separated the two sides. Lord Monsoon did not move. He waited. He stared at the knight. He stared at his worthy adversary. He chuckled. He enjoyed seeing how well this Minotaur grew into a fierce knight. This was an intense standoff. The swine and the knight kept staring at one another. There was nothing that could stop or slow this encounter down. April, Bridget and the other witches from the village were much too far to be made aware of Lord Monsoon's presence. Even long after he had revealed himself, losing his dark shadow costume and using his real body. Junk held September in his arms. Carrying her much like a monster who had come to claim his bride, stealing her into the night. However, in this case, it wasn't exactly what was happening. Instead of stealing her, he was making sure she was safe from the actual, dangerous, and menacing monster around: Lord Monsoon. He was the one to be worried about.

"You are still carrying me?" September asked him.

"Do you mind?" The Minotaur replied to her.

"Not… Exactly…" She whispered… Feeling uncomfortable.

"That's what I thought…" He mentioned, triumphant.

"I believe we have a problem, bull-knight."

"I believe we do, as well. What do you want me, this Lord Swine? Not happy I kicked your butt, last night? Is that it?"

"I came to challenge you, Junk," he announced to him.

"Challenge me how, exactly? What are you after? You can be certain that I am not going to let you put your hands on our village."

"This village… You are speaking of it as if you have been living in it for years. You just made peace with the other sister. You have officially been here in this village for two seconds. You don't know anything about this place. No. I don't care about this village. I don't want it. If I wanted it, I could have taken it a billion times. What I want… Is The Witch Queen. This Witch Queen. Plain and simple," Lord Monsoon carefully and clearly explained to the demon knight. It was official. He was after September. All the power he could possess if he had her with him. He desired her so badly.

"You still want her? But you failed the last couple of times… You keep losing against me over and over again. It's enough."

"This is the last time, demon knight. This will be our final confrontation. We are going to have a duel," he promised.

"Um…" Junk nodded. "... What would that be…?"

"We are going to fight to the death. You battle me with your girl: The Witch Queen. And I'll have someone else on my side as we battle it out. I'm doing a favor. You are going to need the support of your Witch Queen in order to defeat me. That's for sure. That's all. Fair and simple."

"How is this going to work? I've got my partner right here, but you… You have no one. You are all alone," Junk reminded him.

"Junk! Junk! September! September! Junk! September!" All of a sudden, they heard a woman's voice on the other side of the forest: It was Bridget. Everyone recognized her voice.

"Sis… Oh, no…" September whispered to herself.

"Bridget? Here?" Junk didn't expect this.

"Speaking of the devil… I know who I am going to corrupt to be my partner for this fight…" Lord Monsoon grinned. It was almost as if he had anticipated her. Almost as if he knew from the beginning that she was going to come here. The chances of him having seen her coming here from a certain distance were probable.

"Oh! There you are, guys! What are you all doing in the dark forest?" Bridget rushed into the meadow where everyone was. However, she only saw Junk and her big sister at first. Her back was unintentionally facing Monsoon. At this exact moment, she had no idea the dark lord was even here in the first place.

"Bridget!" Her big sister desperately tried stopping her.

"Bridget! Get out of here, now!" Junk shouted at her.

"Wait, why?" The little, witch sister didn't understand.

"Because…" The next moment, she heard this dark and creepy, but still somehow charming and inviting voice, sneaking up on her. She slowly turned her around: She saw him behind her. The dark lord. The tormenting Lord Monsoon. "... I'm here…"

"L-Lord Monsoon-n?" She said her name. Stuttering as she did so. In a flash, Lord Monsoon picked her up and teleported himself into a different part of the forest. He blinked back to the spot where he was before during the standoff. Now, he wasn't alone anymore. He stood right behind her. Holding her shoulders.

"What are you going to do to me?" Bridget asked him.

"We'll see. Um… What are you going to do to help me win this battle? I'm going to corrupt you, so you can shadow me."

"Let her go!" September lashed out at him.

"This is really what you want to do?" Junk questioned him.

"It's okay, big sister… It's okay…"

"Shall we battle, demon knight?"

There was no going back now.

"What? This is what we are going to do? Um… I'm beginning to enjoy that idea… A lot… Wait, on my side am I going to fight? I'd rather fight with Junk. I want to be on Junk's side! I don't want to team-up with him!" Bridget quickly changed her stance on this entire thing. She didn't want to betray Junk and September.

"Are you ready?" Lord Monsoon challenged the demon knight.

"September. We are doing this."
