Chapter 182: We Are Not Alone In The Tower
There was indeed someone inside the house.
Junk quickly summoned his Halloween, demonic armor.
Poof!
The young man was the Halloween knight again.
Someone broke into the tower, and it was up to Junk and April to find out who was the culprit.
"Visitors? What do you mean? Sept is back?" she asked him.
"No. I don't think so," April was about to turn the valve and shut off the running water of the shower as she understood someone had sneaked into the tower, but the Minotaur quickly stopped her at the last second before it was too late. He held her hand.
"What are you doing? If someone is here, I should stop the water, so we can go investigate, right?" April told him, not understanding why he stopped her all of a sudden. Was he expecting her to continue taking her shower while there was an intruder here?
"No. Come investigate with me, but leave the water on."
"Why?" April still didn't understand why it mattered to him.
"Because we have to leave them to believe that we are still here, taking a shower. Come. Come with me," he took her by the hand, pulled her out of the shower and ran away with her. There was no time to put on clothes.
The two went running out of the large room where the shower was in the basement of the tower without any clothes on. The demon was still quite erect as he came out of the room and escorted April out of there. Even though Junk heard quite a bit of windows shattering earlier, it was now absolutely silent in the tower. The only sound that could be heard by them where they were, was the sound of the water running from the shower, but nothing else. April continued following Junk through the many corridors of the tower. They sneaked back upstairs, to the upper levels of the tower, where Junk heard the glass shattering. In the living room, they found the glass on the floor, all over the carpet. A total of four windows in the room had been broken. There was glass everywhere.
"What happened here?" April asked Junk, whispering.
"I am asking myself the same thing," the two looked around. Searched the entire place. They searched all the rooms that were close to the living room and found nothing. April even took the time to go outside and there was nothing there either. Her nipples grew erect due to the cold outside, but other than that, nothing interesting happened outside. There was no trace of anyone walking around near the tower.
No footsteps that she could see on the ground. When April came back inside, she was greeted with a furious demon who had recently begun breaking furniture and punching walls. The beast was clearly frustrated with the fact that someone was here, broke some windows, infiltrated themselves in their lair, and then vanished. This wasn't something that Junk tolerated. He didn't want anyone, especially enemies to come to their lair. This was unacceptable, to say the least. April immediately charged at the demon and hugged him, attempting to stop her from breaking everything. She attempted to calm him down a bit. It wasn't working too much at first, but eventually, slowly, she was able to take some heat off of his shoulders.
"Hey, hold on! What do you think you are doing?" April asked him. "You can't do this. We are going to find who was here."
"Or who is still here," the Minotaur interrupted her, correcting her as he finally calmed down, thanks to her kindness and therapeutic presence. The demon turned to her, he stared at her.
"You think they are still here? But we've looked almost everywhere at this point? Why would someone be hiding here?"
"You said it: We've looked almost everywhere," he told her.
"Good point. Now that I think about it, if someone came here and suddenly left, they would probably have left something, like a note, so they can communicate with us. But you're right. There is absolutely nothing like that," April nodded and tried to understand how Junk was thinking at the moment. She was curious to find out why someone would come here and then disappear somewhere in the tower. So, interested in finding out who was here with them, they began searching together again.
This time, investigating together without splitting up. Not even one time. They would be searching all the rooms. One by one. And they did for quite a long time until they were brought back into the basement where the large room with the shower was. Where they were earlier. As they approached in one of the many corridors near the shower room, they realized something‒
"‒Hey, can you hear this?" the Minotaur asked April.
"Um…" she waited a bit before answering him. She was listening. She was trying to. "... No. What do you mean?" she asked.
"The water. There is no water running. We left it open. Do you remember?" he reminded her. Junk began running.
"Oh, you're right!" She ran after him. They quickly made it back to the large room where the shower was. The water was indeed no longer running. Then, as the two stood inside the room, the door suddenly closed behind them. Making a loud noise. The door was also locked from the exterior. They were trapped in here.
"We are trapped…" the Minotaur grew even more frustrated.
"We are…" April admitted. They readied for the worst. It was at that moment that the two heard cackling on the other side of the room. Then, they heard someone clapping their hands. Then, a shadow came along‒and it was not too long after that Agatha showed herself in the room.
Agatha, the witch with the eyepatch from The Order, was the one who found The Autumn Tower and intruded it.
"Agatha?" Junk shouted her name.
"You?" April gasped as she first saw her.
"This time, there will be no Witch Queen to rescue you," Agatha told them.
They were on their own.
And they were truly not alone in the tower.
