Chapter 92: One-Sided Battle
"Don't hurt him!" April called out for her friend not to get hurt at the hands of Lord Monsoon.
But that was a little too late for that. Junk went flying in the air, and he had a world of trouble getting back afterwards. One shot. One punch. And he had been knocked out for the most part. He gritted his teeth.
"That's the best you can do? Seriously. I'm disappointed. Perhaps, it's time for these whores to be getting a real master to get them through the night. Don't you think so?" Monsoon said to him.
"Don't hurt him again!" April shouted at Monsoon again.
"What do you want from us?" Junk interrogated Monsoon.
"From you? Nothing. The only thing I want is… Them. The two sluts. But to be quite honest with you, I'm seriously beginning to be less and less interested in the pumpkin witch. She is an embarrassment to the Autumn tribe. A total embarrassment. There is much potential with the current vessel of the Spring tribe, with her…" Lord swine pointed at April as she could be seen, attempting to run, trying to run as fast she possibly could. She was panting. Rushing to get to Junk.
"Why are you so interested in them? And in her specifically?" he asked him.. Keeping this on with all the questions. Visibly attempting to buy some additional time to think of something useful to do to get out alive. If he didn't do anything now, he was quite certain that Lord swine was going to end his life and leave with April, taking her, conquering her like a trophy. He couldn't have this happen. He had to do something to prevent this from happening in the first place.
There has to be a way to escape.
"I'm not even sure that you can comprehend what the two of them represent, but they are unique. Quite unique," he repeated himself. "Their body and soul contain so much power. Almost like a bottomless pit. Do you hear me? Why do you think everyone is after them? Uh? Why don't the witches from the village want them so bad? There is a reason for everything. You are traveling with them. Battling at their side. Yet, you don't know anything about that. It's unbelievable. If you are a tiny bit more clever, you'd be trying to harness their powers and harvest them. But, I guess, it's too late for you to do anything now. Right?" Lord Monsoon explained and then demanded to him as he finally walked up to him. Orange sparks of electricity were buzzing a little all over his body. His lightning powers were getting out of trouble. The dark clouds above their heads were also, continuously buzzing with the same intensity and the same orange electricity. Lord Monsoon's eyes were filled with the orange lightning. Junk played in a different league as him in terms of demons. He wasn't strong enough to keep up with him and didn't stand a chance. April eventually made it to him and hugged him with her arms. She had Junk's head resting against her big juggs. At least, if Junk was going to die like this, he was going to go on the other side with his head resting against her elvish pillows. It could have been worse. It could have been a lot worse than that, he thought.
"I am not going to let anything happen to you, Junk."
"Junk…"
The young man looked around. He realized he couldn't find September anywhere.
"September is still gone… So, she abandoned us? Again? I guess she knew better. She probably knew he was coming and used us as bait… Why not?"
"I don't think she'd do anything like that," April replied.
"I don't agree with you, April… I simply don't…" he said.
"This is the end of the road for you, half-demon," Lord Monsoon was about to reach their position in the next few seconds. It was only a matter of three or four seconds before he lost his life.
"Since those are my last breaths, I'm going to tell you right now, April… I was meditating in the woods earlier because I was making you a gift," he admitted to her right before dying. He knew Monsoon couldn't be beat by him, so he chose to spend the last moments he had to discuss with her. He mentioned the gift.
"You used all your power to make her a gift? How dumb can you be?" Lord swine stopped walking in his direction. Baffled by what he just said. This allowed him some additional time with her, at least.
"Now is not the time to talk about that kind of stuff, Junk. We gotta get out of here. We got to move and now!" she shouted.
"No. I'm staying right here, April. Run. Escape. I'm going to be buying you some time, but I'm going to give you your gift first before you go…" he mentioned to her. He was able to stand up with her, but that was about it. He didn't want to go with her. He closed his eyes as the lightning pig monster was amused by him. "Pepo. Give it to me. Now is the time. Give it to me. Give it to me. Please. I want her to be safe,"he tried establishing a communication with Pepo.
"What are you doing? Who are you talking to?" April asked.
"Time to finish you off," Monsoon said, no longer amused. He charged toward the young man and threatened to deliver him, one final blow. But at the last moment, right before it was too late, something magically appeared in Junk's hand! The gift!
The bow!
The weapon came into a bust of green energy that surrounded it. The energy burst accidentally exploded in the face of Lord Monsoon and sent him sliding backward. He was stopped. For now.
"...?" Lord Monsoon didn't see it coming.
"What is it?" April asked.
"That's your new bow!" he announced to her.
