The excitement of finally being able to use magic was making me shiver with pleasure. Not wasting anymore time I quickly accessed the skills I could buy. I already had 7 skill points and I got 3 from the level up. The evolution must have earned me 6 more

....

There were a lot more than those but it seems I could only afford one of these for now.

Damn!

Ok. First things first the two first skills [Magic Sense] and [Magic Manipulation] seem to be vital if I want to be able to do magic. So I have to get those, the problem still remains; which type of magic should I get!? Looking through the description of each of them one type in particular caught my eye.

[Beginner Curse Magic: This form of magic allows the user to include additional lasting negative effects to spells. The effects can range from dulled senses to debilitating sickness and even death.]

This magic fits the way I hunt. Granted it's not as flashy and cool but it's what I think fits me the most.

Alright I want [Magic Sense], [Magic Manipulation] and [Curse Magic].

[Selected]

Suddenly an entire influx of knowledge flowed into my mind.

Alright then now before I test my magic lets see what those new skills of mine do.

[Pierce LV 1: Your horn is like a spear, it can be used to skewer your enemies.]

[Drill LV 1: Your horn can be used like a drill to dig.]

[Increase Magic Regen LV 1: Increases the rate of which magic can be regenerated]

[Parallel Thinking LV 1: You can now assign tasks that your smaller brain is responsible for while you do something else. Two heads are always better than one]

[Overcome LV 1: If your health reaches one sacrifice all of your magic in order to gain a 100% stat boost. Can only be activated when fighting an opponent stronger than yourself.]

Cool...cool now unto the main event! MAGIC! Using the information implanted in my brain I began to slowly draw magic from my cores, soon a warm tingling feeling came from my stomach. I could also feel it permeating through the air especially along the silver lines on the labyrinth walls.

Woah....so this is mana. Delegating the task of drawing magic to my second brain, I focused my attention on figuring out how the actual magic worked. Turns out 'magic' is the product of persons 'weaving' a concept into mana in order to bend the laws of nature.

For example a fire ball spell, in order to do this someone will draw mana from either their own body or the surrounding area. Then they would imbue that mana with the concept of fire. Shape it into a ball and voila!

Curses are the same however. I'm looking to create something simple for starters, a slow curse. Gathering my mana I began to imbue it with the concept of 'slow' slowly the pure white mana became a sickening purple until it solidified.

Holy crap.....

Floating in front of me was a sickening purple ball that seem to contain some kind of sigil.

[Conditions have been met. Beginner Curse magic spell [Slow Curse] has been generated]

[Beginner Curse Magic LV 1] has levelled up to [Beginner Curse Magic LV 2]

Nice. Now to test this spell. On cue a bee the size of an infant came buzzing towards me. With a mental command the purple orb seemingly crumbled and a wave of purple energy was hurled towards the bee, as soon as the wave made contact the bee went from a brisk walk to a leisurely stroll.

I mentally timed it and it was 7 seconds before the bee began to move at a normal pace.

With that amount of time I would definitely have an edge over my opponents.

A couple more minutes were spent experimenting with my new magic.

During that time [Magic Sense LV 1 became LV 3] and [Magic Manipulation LV 1 became LV 2]

I also created [Blind Curse] and [Bind Curse].

[Blind Curse] does exactly what it sounds like it takes away the targets vision for 1 minute.

[Bind Curse] binds the target using some sort of mysterious means. I could see for sure what binded the [Toxic Rat] I used it on but it struggled to move. This lasts based on the targets [Strength] stat.

Ok time to get moving. I've finally decided on something that I've been agonizing over for a long time.

Going deeper into the dungeon.

I know that doing this will risk my safety but I might find an exit after fighting some final boss type enemy. So I'm willing to risk it.

Come to think of it I've just been born like....12 hours ago but I'm already evolved. I wonder if that's normal? I still don't know where I am or if there are any other intelligent life out there.

Sigh! As I slither around trying to find some sort of passage deeper into the dungeon something catches my eye. The silver glowing lines on the walls of the labyrinth.

Hey what a minute....I wonder if [Analysis] will tell me anything about those....And surprise it did.

[Mana Veins located inside The Shifting Labyrinth. These veins are the lifeblood of the labyrinth and keep everthing functioning]

Mana Veins huh? And [Shifting Labyrinth]? What's with that name? Maybe I can get some more info if I use it on the bare walls.

[Analysis]

[Ordinary walls inside of the [Shifting Labyrinth]. This labyrinth is saturated in [Space] and [Time] magic's causing time to speed up or slow down on a whim or parts of the labyrinth to suddenly combine with another.]

Holy shit! Does that mean that to me it might be 12 hours it could've been 12 years?!

Oi Oi oi! Isn't that a bit too scary!

Sigh! I need a nap from all this when I wake up I'll have to continue exploring
