Chapter 29 - Admission Notice To the Imperial Academy of Magic

As the order date was approaching, Rollin worked overtime every day.

Having completed half of the order, Master Aurelia pushed open the workshop door.

"Rollin, stop and listen to me!"

With a puzzled look on his face, Rollin immediately threw the red-hot iron back into the furnace.

"Did something happen?"

"It's like this! There's no need to complete this task. You should take a good rest during this period of time!"

"Hmm, have the results come out from the higher-ups?"

Aurelia immediately told Rollin about Duke Smollett's letter and the gold coins.

"Since we've publicly apologized and compensated for the gold coins that exceeded the equipment order, there's no need for us to be calculative!"

Rollin nodded and wiped his forehead with a cloth beside him.

"We've really made a big profit this time. This has already been reduced to the workshop's revenue for a few months!"

Aurelia immediately took out a large bag of gold coins and gave it to Rollin. "Take it! You might have to leave this place soon!"

"Why?"

"Because Duke and Duchess Dupont have decided to let you meet them in a few days. They said that they have other arrangements for you to make here!"

Hearing this, Rollin was so scared that the hammer in his hand fell to the ground.

Seeing Rollin's expression, Aurelia immediately teased, "If you knew this would happen, you shouldn't have touched his precious daughter!"

After the teasing, he instructed Rollin, "May is a good girl. You have to make good arrangements for her before you leave!"

"Yes, Master. I know. I'm really considering this matter!"

Aurelia patted Rollin's shoulder and said, "I've already made arrangements for the house. She'll be staying around me!"

"She and I will take care of each other. Also, Muriel likes May very much. When the time comes, we can let May take care of Muriel too!"

Upon hearing that Aurelia had already made so many arrangements, Rollin immediately bent down and bowed to him.

"Go back quickly! From today onwards, walk around this street more often."

After saying that, he waved at Rollin very reluctantly, turned around, and left the workshop.

Seeing Aurelia's declining expression, Rollin immediately said, "No matter where I go, I will eventually return here. This is my home!"

Hearing this, Aurelia was very touched, but he did not stop walking. He only raised his hand and waved before leaving.

When he returned home, Rollin found a letter left by May. It said that her mother had moved to a new house.

Rollin immediately followed the address and went to May's house.

When he walked in, he found that this was a very large courtyard.

When he entered the hall, May was already preparing dinner for many people.

When she saw Rollin, she immediately said, "Rollin, thank you so much. I didn't expect you to buy such a big house for me!"

Seeing that May was so happy, Rollin knew that it was his Master's doing.

"It's good that you like it. How's Mom's health now?"

"En! Her body has gradually recovered. She just ate something and fell asleep."

"That's good, that's good!"

"Then why did you cook so much food?"

"Oh! In a while, Muriel and Grandpa Aurelia will come here to eat!"

"I thought you knew!"

Rollin quickly waved his hand and said, "I might be leaving for a while. I just came to say hello to you today."

May was not surprised, because she had heard the news from Aurelia, but he did not tell her where he was going.

"Grandpa Aurelia already told me."

"That's good, that's good. I'm going to buy some wine to celebrate. I'll be back in a while!"

Rollin just wanted to be alone for a while, because Aurelia had done too much for him, and now he had to leave because of other things.

This attitude did not suit Rollin's character. Even if someone had arranged it for his own good, Rollin would still be very unhappy.

But on the other hand, this was all for his own future.

As he walked, he arrived at his original room. There was a letter placed on the table.

After Rollin received the letter, a memory flashed through his mind.

This was an invitation letter from the Imperial Academy of Magic. It described how to get to the Imperial Academy of Magic and some things that needed to be prepared.

The rest were some things to take note of and some rules.

All of this was beyond Rollin's expectations.

Although he had heard of the Imperial Academy of Magic in the past, he had never thought that he would be able to study there.

"Monica, what kind of price did you pay to help me do such a thing!"

Not only did Rollin take the most important thing from her, but he also received so many benefits. He immediately felt that he was a man who was living off her.

"Perform well in the academy! When the time comes, we'll fight for more glory for the Dupont family!"

After leaving the room, Rollin went to the tavern on Pleasure Street to check out some of the recent payments.

He found that Hall appeared on the counter.

Although he did not look well, he was still in good spirits.

Rollin immediately walked to the side of Hall, who was in a daze, and said, "Long time no see! Where have you been during this period of time?"

Hall turned his head and glanced at Rollin. He knew that Rollin had recognized the wrong person, so he explained, "I'm Hall's brother, Holt. Hall has some matters and he hasn't returned yet!"

"But Hall has told me about you. You're Rollin, right?"

Rollin nodded. "So it's Holt. It's great to see you!"

"Muriel is currently at my house. If you have time, you can ask her to come and see you!"

Hearing this, Holt was delighted. "Really? That's great. How are her parents now?"

After hearing this, Rollin told Holt about his relationship with Muriel.

"Sigh! How unfortunate!"

"After I separated from them, my family and children were all gone. When will this world come to an end?"

Because the topic was too heavy, Rollin took a bottle of wine and told them about the things he was about to leave. Then, he left the tavern.

When he returned home, Rollin heard Muriel's happy laughter before he even went in.

"Is everyone here?"

Rollin raised the bottle of wine in his hand to Aurelia. The two of them sat together and drank.

"I received the admission notice for the Imperial Academy of Magic today!" As he spoke, he placed the admission notice on the table.

Aurelia seemed to have known about this long ago, so he was not surprised.

He patted Rollin on the shoulder. "Good luck! You'll be famous in there, and you'll be a noble of the Empire!"

"Fifty percent of the new nobles in the Empire graduated from the Magic Academy!"

The Third Elder, who was hiding on the tree in the distance, immediately laughed when he saw the notice in Rollin's hand, because fifty percent of the presidents of the Imperial Academy of Magic on this continent were elves!

"It seems that my mission will be handed over to someone else!"
