Out of courtesy, Lamira escorted them to the top of the tower and watched as Locke and Clifford flew away.
"This man is really…"
Because Locke had shown her too many miracles, even the peerless genius Lamira could not bring herself to judge him.
"If it's possible, I hope that you can return unscathed!"
After leaving the Hanos Science and Technology Tower, Locke and Clifford flew south.
As they passed by Rono, the people in the city cheered, "It's the Steel Dragon! It's the High Priest's Steel Dragon!"
As the high priest was too famous in the Kingdom of Dunmei, the citizens of every city remembered him. Locke, who was high up in the sky, saw the cheers of the people below. He had no idea what was the commotion about.
Meanwhile, Clifford was soaked up in his own thoughts. He knew very well that before they set off, he had reported every single update to the king. However, the king replied with a single message: Continue the mission!
Clifford was extremely puzzled. Why was the king so lax with Locke? If both the Steel Dragon and Locke died at the same time, would that really not be a problem?
However, what Clifford was not aware of was that the king and the Senate had already received news that the second generation of Steel Dragon was about to be completed, so they did not really care for the original one.
The two of them headed north. It did not take them long to reach William Bay.
Seeing the High Priest's Steel Dragon, the soldiers in the city were stunned.
The news of Locke and his companion's arrival quickly reached Duke William.
Due to the urgency of the situation, Locke landed on Duke William's castle.
The old butler immediately walked over to lead the way.
"Duke William Rowan has been waiting in the banquet hall for a long time! Please follow me."
The old butler bowed politely to the two guests.
After entering the hall, a very young man welcomed them.
"Welcome! Now that the two countries are fighting, I believe you are here to ask me how to enter Stonolo!"
Clifford immediately bowed to him and introduced Locke, "This is the Team 4 Captain of the Dunmei Dark Blade Dragons. He came here especially for this!"
After some introductions, William Rowan quickly pulled out a map and placed it on the table.
He pointed out the Stonolo Passage that allowed them to enter from the outside.
"This old underground tunnel has not been used for many years. I'm not sure if it will work or not!"
Upon hearing this, Locke decisively said, "I'll give it a try first. If it really doesn't work, I will fly in directly with the Steel Dragon!"
Hearing Locke's words, Duke William Rowan was very happy and immediately handed ten rings to Locke.
"In these are the food and supplies I prepared beforehand. Please bring all of these things inside! The entire Stonolo is in a state of depletion, no matter how rich and abundant the national treasury is! These three months should have been enough to deplete their food supplies! You must bring these things to the Queen to resolve her urgent needs! Not only can these rings store items, it also represents my identity at crucial moments! If you successfully enter and meet any soldiers, show this ring to them, and they will help you!
"As for my army, they will march in after you enter the city and complete all your preparations! The Queen knows how to send the signal! Please do your best in this period of time!"
Locke heard the anticipation in his voice. He really hoped that he could rush to the battlefield right now. However, the current situation was too dangerous, so he had been restraining himself and waiting patiently not far from Stonolo Capital.
"Leave everything to us!
"We've risked our lives to come here. If there's hope, we have to risk it!
"We are your closest ally!"
After saying that, the two of them quickly finished their meal in Duke William's castle. Taking advantage of the darkness, they sneaked into the hidden passageway.
Even though this place was near the enemy's army camps, there was a forest covering this area. Therefore, they easily avoided the patrol team and arrived at this hidden tunnel.
The front part of the tunnel was covered very deeply. With the help of the Steel Dragon, it only took them ten minutes to cover it up before they entered the tunnel.
Because this passageway had been abandoned for many years, many parts of it had collapsed. But none of this could stop them, because the Steel Dragon and Eliza were digging behind them.
It only took them half a day to enter Stonolo City and open the secret door. The hidden passageway led them straight into the castle's dungeon. Clifford could not help but sigh at how wonderful this dungeon was!
Because of the commotion, the soldiers in the dungeon immediately went to look for them. Locke immediately raised the ring that the Duke had given him.
The soldiers in the dungeon saw Locke's ring. "Are you Duke William's men? Please follow me!" Under the lead of the guards in the dungeon, the two of them arrived at the Queen's palace.
The siege had obviously given her a huge shock, because two dark eye circles could be seen on her beautiful face.
After Locke and Clifford entered the palace, they immediately knelt down on one knee. "Queen Melissa, I am the Team 4 Captain of the Dunmei Dark Blade Dragons from the Kingdom of Dunmei! Beside me is my mentor, Aldrich Clifford!"
After hearing what they said, Melissa seemed to look better.
"Please rise! If you had arrived a little later, perhaps I would not be the Queen anymore!
"Please follow me this way. Because there are spies everywhere in the city, let us come to my room. We shall discuss there!"
Then she dragged her dress and led the two to her bedroom.
After entering the room, Locke immediately handed over all ten rings.
"These are the supplies Duke William prepared for you!"
Seeing the things in Locke's hands, Melissa's expression became very complicated. It was as if these things were no longer useful to her.
The two of them could not help but guess, "Has things become so complicated?"
After exchanging glances, Locke continued asking, "Queen Melissa, if you have any missions, please leave them to us! No matter what it is, we are willing to help you share some of the burden!"
Hearing Locke's words, Melissa recalled a memory from a long time ago, of a knight who had sworn to protect her always.
