Were they going to seriously wake up her mad aunt who could have thrown any of them down the cliff just for dragging mud?
It's a good thing she is an early riser, otherwise, these guys would probably die of anxiety while trying to report news.

Five villages enroute were also buried in snow, along with their winter stores. Grain caravan coming to Windcastle was expected to have died in Dresmond plains." The man reported anxiously.
