Primus jumped into the seemingly endless black hole, his body dissipating into mist. As he descended, the air around him gradually grew stale, it was as though he was falling through the void.
He retrieved the glowing orb from the satchel strapped to his waist and filled it with a meager amount of mana.
The orb came to life with a radiant blue glow that illuminated the depths of the unnatural hole he had willingly fallen into. The darkness receded as the glow became brighter, and deep shadows took its place.
Primus stalwartly inspected his surroundings. The black hole wasn't as deep as he had presumed it to be. Its cylindrical interior consisted of grey weathered stones with narrow fissures marring their otherwise smooth surfaces. Purple plant-like growths he hadn't seen before, due to the tenebrous nature of the hole, protruded from the rifts in the weathered stones and absorbed nearly all of the oxygen present in the hole, making it hard for Primus to breathe as well as maintain his mist form. He was surprised that the plant-like growths breathed in oxygen rather than carbon dioxide.
He threw the glowing orb downward, and although Primus had yet to reach terminal velocity, the orb did so before him. Further propelled by his throw, the glowing orb reached the bottom of the hole which appeared to be a vast, desolate carven faster.
Realizing how close he was to crashing on the ground and turning into a bloody puddle, Primus panicked, but shortly after realizing he could avoid colliding with the ground at high speeds with the help of the Shadow Blade, he regained his calm.
The Shadow Blade manifested itself in the form of a short sword that Primus hurled to the cavernous ground, rooting it shallowly in the smooth terrain.
When the short sword connected with the ground, Primus teleported to its side and dismissed it. He was familiarizing himself with the environment until Randall crashed on him.
"Ouch!" Primus shouted, causing the plant-like growths around them to vibrate slightly. Randall weighed more than he appeared to - his mass was comparable to Avdan's.
"It's your fault for pushing me into a potentially abyssal black hole."
Randall got up from Primus' body and began inspecting his surroundings. The cavern was exceedingly vast and darkness-infested, the gray stones Primus had seen while falling facedown were more abundant beneath the hole, as were the plant-like growths that now varied in color.
Primus looked up and saw the distant opening they had fallen through. He doubted he and Randall would be able to scale their way back up, so he sought another exit.
"Hey! Where are you going to?"

Primus solemnly summoned the Shadow Blade which took the form of a pitch black glaive. He absorbed the mana in the glowing orb and returned it to his satchel.
"What are you doi-" Randall was interrupted by an ear piercing screech. Several figures moved from the ceiling of the cavern and lunged at Randall's defenseless body.
Primus spun his onyx glaive and stabbed one of the creatures in the eye, piercing its brain before drawing a line that severed its body diagonally. He blinked out of existence for a second, then materialized on the back of another of the abominations. The Shadow Blade separated into two halves that transformed into twin daggers.

The twin daggers glinted darkly as their strength was considerably enhanced by Primus'

By the time Primus was done with the monsters that had attacked him, he noticed that Randall had killed the rest.
"You're not so bad yourself." Primus stated.
He retrieved the glowing orb from his leather satchel and poured some mana into it. The abrupt switch from darkness to light momentarily stunned Primus as the effects of the
Randall ignored Primus' compliment and said:
"The rift Guardian is similar to the fiends we just dealt with. I doubt that even with your power we're capable of harming it, so we'll retreat for now."
"Except there apparently isn't any other exit aside from the opening we recently fell through." Primus pointed out.
Randall shook his head despondently and sighed, "You're forgetting this is a game, Ghost."
Realization struck Primus as he coughed sheepishly. How could he have possibly forgotten that his second V-anchor was still with Elder Yelena?
"Don't take it too seriously," Randall smirked, "See you later."
Primus was about to exit the game, when suddenly, he spotted a soft green glow. He sought the source of the calming glow and was surprised to see...
"A Improvement Crystal!"
Primus picked up the crystal and inspected it thoroughly. The Improvement Crystal resembled a transparent, miniature kite emanating green light. When Primus touched it, the soft green glow was replaced by a placid black one.

Without thinking twice, Primus selected the former option.
