Chapter 6 - THE HIDDEN FACE

The midterm day has come and everyone is stressed about it, Mun-hee and Hyun-ae are looking anxious about the exam while Hyun-ki like always sitting in his seat and watching from the window, and on the other side there is Mi-cha is just sitting on her seat like nothing is going on, the exam has finished and everyone is still scared of the outcome of the exam everyone scared because of their grades, Mun-hee went to Hyun-ki and asked him how did he do in the exam, Hyun-ki told him that he did well in it like always then Mun-hee said"well, you are the third in the school, so it's normal for you to not be scared,"Hyun-ki told him that it was hilarious and laughed, then from nowhere Hyun-ae came and asked Hyun-ki if she can compare her answers with his, Mun-hee got surprised and asked her"wow, it's a surprise when did you two become friends."then Hyun-ki asked him if everyone who asks another for his answer is a friend with each other, at the same moment when Hyun-ki answered her Hyun-ae answered at the same moment when Hyun-ki answered and she said"We are, didn't you see that we are always sitting together all the time for the past month me and you and him and also Mi-cha?"when she said that Hyun-ki turned and he starts looking at Hyun-ae without saying anything while Hyun-ae was speechless when Hyun-ki said that thing to Mun-hee she wasn't waiting for that response, then Mi-cha said that they are not considered friends because they seem that they hang out with him because of Mun-hee, after what she said the two Hyun-ae and Mun-hee jumped scared because they didn't notice her while Hyun-ki answered her by saying that he can't disagree with what she said, then Mun-hee said"How can you always notice her while we can't she always scares us she is like a ghost?"Hyun-ki answered him by saying that it's because they were focused only on each other and by that he meant Mun-hee and Hyun-ae, Mi-cha started laughing when Hyun-ki said that then everyone was shocked because it's the first time they saw Mi-cha laughing, in the end after a moment Mi-cha noticed that she is in front of them and everyone is looking at her even her other classmates, she stopped from laughing and said I just remembered something funny that I saw yesterday, when the class saw her laughing and noticed that the three Hyun-ae and Mun-hee and Mi-cha are sitting with a person and laughing they started whispering who is he and some of them got jealous and started saying what is special about him that the goddess and the famous ones are befriend him like that, Hyun-ki noticed and he told the guys that he will go to the bathroom while he was just giving excuse to leave the scene until everyone in class forget what they saw, but unfortunately news go fast and the whole school knows that he is friends with the most famous students in school, Hyun-ki acted like he didn't hear anything and just brought his backpack and went to his home to avoid the noise on his road to his home he met a school thug, well, he never gives any attention to him but this time that thug was waiting for Hyun-ki, the thug was named Nae bong, the last didn't know Hyun-ki's name so he just called him by saying "hey you come here"Hyun-ki didn't look at him or answered him he just continued walking, the guy got angry and he walked in front of Hyun-ki and stopped him and he said to him"do you want to get beaten or what? I think you have a death wish"Hyun-ki didn't answer him, but he ignored him and just kept walking and passed him, the thug got angrier and he launched a sneaky punch but he got surprised because Hyun-ki dodged his punch without even looking at Nae bong, and then he turned and kicked Nae bong in the weak spot and then he told him" I don't give a fu about who you are, but you know what kind of people I hate? is the noisy people because they distribute my rest, so let me tell you this, if you did distribute me again I'll make sure to kill you not just give you pain"the guy started having pain from that kick and started saying with pain to Hyun-ki that he'll kill him and he just got to the ground and kept seeing Hyun-ki going away when Nae bong recovered the next day, he got up and went toward the school and then he started searching for Hyun-ki, then he heard some guys talking about the guy who's being befriended by the famous students, then Nae bong headed toward them and the guys got scared because Nae bong is known as the thug of the school the most feared one, then he asked them about where is the class of the student they've been talking about when they told him he just went toward Hyun-ki class with an angry look and aura, when he entered the class of Hyun-ki he didn't find him so he just got more pissed and started kicking the seats near him everyone got scared and then Mun-hee came and he started shouting on Nae bong saying"what are you doing, stop or I'll call the teachers"when Nae bong heard him he starts heading toward him and pushing everything around him, when Mun-hee saw that scene he started backing off, then Hyun-ki came and pulled Mun-hee back and he said to Nae bong"Nae bong, 19 years old, lives alone in Ilsan Seo, working in a place that I think it's not allowed for a student"Nae bong asked Hyun-ki what is he saying and if he that scared to start spouting nonsense but then he knew what he was saying especially about the job that he mentioned, he got confused, and to avoid any problem of his job being known he just said"The class will start and your lucky because the teacher will come soon I'll be waiting outside the school don't run away or I'll kill you"then Nae bong left, when he left Mun-hee asked him how did he know that guy then Hyun-ki answered him I know everyone and also everyone knows who he is the only one who doesn't is you, let's go to our seat teacher is coming. Classes end and everyone is going out everyone was still talking about what happened before the class when Nae bong got angry and started hitting everything in front of him, Nae bong was in front of the school entrance waiting for Hyun-ki to come out he was still angry because he felt like he got humiliated, after a while, he saw Hyun-ki coming with Mun-hee, the last saw that Nae bong standing in front of the entrance then he told Hyun-ki that they should go out from the other entrance and that the thug from before is standing in the main entrance but, Hyun-ki said that it's okay and to not give attention to him, then the two continued walking just then when Nae Bong saw them and he went toward them exactly toward Hyun-ki and he grabbed him from his shirt and he said:"you really had a death wish, I'll do you a good service by beating you right here and at the moment, I don't mind if you're friend right here wanted to join"then Hyun-ki looked angry and said to Nae bong:"I think you still have the legs to stand, I think I shouldn't just kick you lightly back then"then he turned to Mun-hee and told him to back off so he doesn't get in trouble after school, when Mun-hee saw Hyun-ki face he knew he was serious and he also didn't try to back him up or anything he just went back, Hyun-ae and Mi-cha saw Hyun-ki then Hyun-ae rushed toward Mun-hee and asked what is happening and why he is not there to help Hyun-ki that when Mun-hee looked anxious and told her:"have nothing to do for that thug, didn't you see the look at Hyun-ki face I think you know it too and what it means?"then Hyun-ae said to Mun-hee what is he talking about, she went toward Hyun-ki wanting to talk with the two so they can calm down that when she saw the look in Hyun-ki face, then she just backed off like how Mun-hee did then Mi-cha asked her why she stopped then she just saw a scared face of the two Mun-hee and Hyun-ae and she just kept it quiet and she turned toward Hyun-ki and kept looking at him, Nae bong saw the face of Hyun-ki and that the others have back off and told him that no one will save him and that his friends are scared for coming, that when Hyun-ki said with a cold angry face that has a killing aura"They are not scared from wet pants they just can't come to the territory of the deaths"when Nae bong heard him he laughed and said"I think you went crazy with just me grabbing you are you going to wet your pants soon?"Then from nowhere Nae bong felt that something is going into his stomach and it's giving him a lot of pain that when he saw that Hyun-ki is holding something sharp like a little knife, he went mad and then saw Hyun-ki's face then he felt scared when he saw the look at Hyun-ki face, that when he backed off and said I think you really crazy I think I took you lightly then he rushed toward Hyun-ki with a punch then Hyun-ki dodged the punch and grabbed Nae bong from his hair and he hit him with his knee in his face, Nae bong got in the ground then Hyun-ki started launching a pack of punches and kicks directly hitting the face of Nae bong then he grabbed that small knife that he had and put it in front of Nae bong eyes and said"I think you should goodbye to the nice world that you are seeing because you'll never see it again"then he was going to stab Nae bong eye with the knife that when Nae bong knew that he really will lose his sight for real and that the guy in front of him is the real thug, then without realizing he started crying and begging Hyun-ki for forgiveness, but the look that he saw in Hyun-ki face just let him pass out, that when Hyun-ae screamed at Hyun-ki telling him to stop and she just went toward Hyun-ki and then stand in front of him and told him"stop he is already apologized, don't go this far don't make the same mistake look around you s there is a lot of people watching, I thought you didn't want to get noticed"Hyun-ki answered her"move if you want to stay alive, I don't care if there is people here or the director or anyone"that when just Hyun-ki was going to push Hyun-ae to go and continue what he was doing, Hyun-ae jumped at him and she got slightly injured by the small knife in her hand and she said to Hyun-ki"This is not you, you'll never do something in front of people don't make the same mistake again"Hyun-ki at that moment got surprised but at that moment not just him but everyone was shocked because of her reaction even Mun-hee didn't expect it, then Hyun-ki calmed down and he saw blood on the ground, when Hyun-ae saw the blood too she fainted away, she was a Vasovagal syncope person (occurs when you faint because your body overreacts to certain triggers, such as the sight of blood or extreme emotional distress.) no one knew about that only was knowing her secret, and for the first time Mun-hee will see Hyun-ki caring and worrying about someone beside him, he saw him carrying Hyun-ki and rushing toward the school nurse office the school director heard the noise outside the school then he looked from his office window and saw Hyun-ki carrying a girl he was shocked he just didn't understand what is happening then he saw a boy in the ground, then he knew that Hyun-ki was involved then he got chills and scared that when he called the teachers and told them to clean that mess and to tell everyone to go back to their home and to bring that student to the nurse and to not let anyone talk about what happened today at the entrance and never let this incident go outside the school, Hyun-ki went to the nurse office the nurse treated Hyun-ae wound and told Hyun-ki that she will wake up soon Mi-cha was going to enter the nurse office but Mun-hee stopped her and told her to let them alone that when Mi-cha said:"are you crazy I will not let her with a crazy bastard like that person and I think you're not safe either if you stayed around him I know those types of people really well"that when Mun-hee said to Mi-cha"you're right I don't know who is that guy who is sitting inside that room because it's the first time he is carrying for someone and that is totally not like him, but let just let them for now, we'll come back later"then Mun-hee just grabbed Mi-cha hand and went away from the nurse office, while Hyun-ki was sitting waiting for Hyun-ae to wake up, he was thinking about what he just did and why, not about him being close to stabbing Nae bong but HIm worrying about someone, he was still thinking about that hug and that scene and her reaction, he started asking himself what's going on to him then he said with a low voice:"This can't be true just what are you really Hyun-ae, how did you change my decisions? I think you are really interesting more than I thought."
