I woke up to the bright light coming from the sun and then I remember the man who is chasing me. The thought made me sit from the bed. Then, I heard something fell so I look at source of the sound then I saw a beautiful lady that looked very surprised because she covers her mouth and then she went out from the room. That confused me. Did I just transformed into a monster? Oh my goodness please no!
I tried to get out of bed when I felt pain in my head. I just held my head because of the pain. I just noticed that my head was bandaged.
" How do you feel?" a woman voice asked me suddenly. I looked at the woman and she is very beautiful. Gorgeous is the right term to be used.
She has long brown hair that reached her waist and is braided. I have a long black hair that reach my waist too but I was mesmerized by how elegant this lady is. She is really, really beautiful.
"Hello? You there? " the beautiful woman asked me again while laughing. I laughed a little bit and smiled at her .
" Yes, yes I am here...And I am alright I guess. My head still hurts but I can bear the pain. May I ask what happened." I said. She smiled at me and sat on the edge of the bed.
" Well, I think I will be the one who will ask you that. What happened? The king found you lying in an open area in the forest. He found you when he went out for a hunt." She said smiling. What did she say again? King? Where am I anyway?
" Uhhmm... What I can remember is that I was been chased by a man who wants to kill me and soon as I felt that I lost him, I stopped and then I felt that something strucked my head, I felt a terrible pain then it went black." I explained to her.
" May I ask you some question?" I asked the lady that smiling in front of me.
" Ask away!" she said while smiling and I can see in her eyes that she's excited. That is weird you know? It looks like she always want to be asked every time. I, myself do not want to be asked many question.
" W-where Am I? " I asked her as I looked around me.
" You are in Mirkwood, M'lady." the lady told me and that made me look at her.
"M-mirkwood?" I asked her. She just smiled at me and nods.
The word Mirkwood is somewhat familiar. Then it hit me, yeah, it is the place where the company of the 13 dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield was imprisoned. I knew because my foster mother is kinda addict of Tolkien's books especially the book entitled "The Hobbit". She actually gets the DVD copy of the movie. That means if I am in Mirkwood, it means I am in Middle-earth. What, right? It's crazy! But, never mind. If I am in Mirkwood that means the king this beautiful lady talking about is probably, Thranduil Oropherion. Gahahahaha... I wonder what he looks like. I wonder if he looks a lot like Lee Pace who acted as the elven king in the movie adaptation of the book.
" Is that all, M'lady?" the beautiful lady asked me. I smiled at her and nod. She also smiled at me in return and stood up.
" Well, then I am going to check your wound then. By the way, I am the healer here in the palace. My name is Gwendoin. May I ask your name, my lady? " she said as she taking the wrapped bandage on my head.
" Oh yeah, Uhmm... I am Jannidriel." I said as she continuously doing his task."
" Jannidriel? What a good name. I like it. It's so beautiful." she said while inspecting my wound on my head. I smiled when she said that. For the first time, someone has appreciated me for who I am aside from my parents.
" Same for you too, It is also beautiful. I wonder if your kind look very elegant and beautiful like you." I said and that made her chuckle.
" I wish you can see the other elleth. They are more beautiful than I." she said while chuckling. Wait, does she know that I am from another world?
" Do you already know that I am not from your world?" I asked her curiously. She smiled at me and nod.
" I noticed that you're clothing is different from our clothes here in Middle-earth." She said while smiling.
"Well, surprisingly, your wound healed too fast. I guess it is your advantage for you are not from here. Uhm... you know, I can help you fix yourself now. The king asked me attend to you and check on you. He told me that he is going to talk to you if you are in good condition and it seems that you are so.... " She said. I kinda like this new world it's just that it's weird though.
