Suddenly the door behind him burst open as Zhu Mengmeng stomped in with her high heels. Li Yuan guessed that her holo prevented people from coming here somehow. She tried slapping Li Yuan with her claws of a hand. Her sharp nails barely scraped his face as he was able to back away in time.
She was standing in the middle of the room and her back was facing the door. Either direction she may get a hold of him.

Li Yuan looked at the screen as the numbers moved up and down, deciding to just follow the suggestion from the system he ran to the left. He got away from the back but she was still able to grab his arm, but Li Yuan was a lot stronger than her, she was only able to leave a trail of red behind her nails.
Li Yuan ran away from the door as he slid away from it. He growled at Zhu Mengmeng who only made her angrier. He didn't know what's going on, why was she attacking him? Unless the original Li Yuan was also treated this way.

Li Yuan nodded his head as the voice faded out, he looked back at the crazed Zhu Mengmeng then looked at his bleeding arm. He ran to the left hoping for someone to help him. He can kill her easily but it'll look bad for him. They will lock him up and he'll fail the mission.
Zhu Mengmeng ran after him wanting to kill him. But when she realized where he was running towards she immediately fell to the ground. Loud sobs left her soft lips ruining her makeup. She looked pitiful there on the ground crying her eyes out like the world was against her. Li Yuan stopped when he heard the crying.
He stared dumbfounded at the crying female lead. He was impressed with how fast she could get those tears out. He heard footsteps coming near them, they got louder and louder as they got closer. Li Yuan knew he would look like the bad person in the situation or... He can turn them against her.
The scientist arrived at the scene with a panicked look on their faces. Scared one of the newbies enraged one of the subjects. They saw Li Yuan's blood dripping arm thinking he had hurt the other. "Isn't that the boss's wife?" One of the women said wanting to scream, they're going to get fired for this. Probably not just fired, most likely killed.
Wei Xiao has the politics wrapped around his hands, they can easily be killed with a cover-up of fake documents. Not to say it's one of the reasons why no one has found the place in years.
Li Yuan looked down at Zhu Mengmeng with a scary look. He can almost hear their heartbeats pounding in their chest behind him. "What's going on here!?" Wei Xiao yelled, from behind the group, they automatically moved a path for their boss in fear of angering him even more than he will be.
Wei Xiao stopped when his eyes reached the dripping blood from Li Yuan's arms. The fresh blood dripped down Li Yuan's claws and onto the white floor. Wei Xiao saw his wife on the ground crying her heart out looking for help. When they made eye contact Zhu Mengmeng cried even louder holding her hand out at him.
Li Yuan smirked at her, wanting to laugh. The emotions showing on her face didn't reach her eyes at all, but it was convincing. "What's wrong with you?" He said with a tsk at the end showing his displeasure. He crossed his arms, staining his shirt with the blood.
"What do you mean 'what's wrong with me?' What's wrong with you! Why did you suddenly attack me?!" Zhu Mengmeng screamed, the people in the back were ready to blow Li Yuan's brains out until the latter spoke.
"Check the security footage before you lie in their face." Blood drained from Zhu Mengmeng's face, how can she forget about the cameras?! She should have thought before acting! "But you still attacked me! I just wanted to apologize for calling you an ugly thing. When I opened the door to your room you just launched at me so I fought back!"
Li Yuan smirked.
From the information, the system gave him when he and Wei Xiao were walking to his room. The placement of the cameras were able to see halfway inside his room if the door was opened. He was the new subject, after all, they needed to keep an eye on him but still give him privacy.
"The camera says otherwise, it points directly at my door," Li Yuan spoke, shooting down Zhu Mengmeng's hope one by one, "Plus, I'm a new subject they know almost nothing about how I'm going to behave, so you should be with someone when you do visit me. You coming to my room alone clearly says that there's something else going on isn't that right?"
Zhu Mengmeng stopped her fake crying and sat there dumbfounded. She didn't think things through, rage overcame her when she saw how excited Wei Xiao was with him and all she wanted was her husband to smile at her. She didn't know what went wrong.
Li Yuan turned around and faced Wei Xiao."Would you kindly help me with this?" Li Yuan asked, holding out his arm, it had stopped bleeding already. He thought the new body modification would prevent these small injuries, but apparently not.
Zhu Mengmeng looked devastated at Wei Xiao who was checking out the wounds on Li Yuan's arm. He paid no attention to his sad wife who's on the ground.
Many questions erupted in her mind. Did he not love her anymore? Does he hate her? No! It's not possible, he loves her, he will do anything for her!
Zhu Mengmeng continued to deny any possibility of Wei Xiao not loving her anymore. He wants to make her jealous by hanging out with that thing! Yea that's right!
A smile appeared on Zhu Mengmeng's face as she looked lovingly at Wei Xiao, you can almost see the hearts appear in her eyes. It was creepy.
She has no idea what Wei Xiao feels right now. Li Yuan almost feels pity for her if not for when she tried to attack him. She was delusional, Li Yuan doesn't know what the plot did to her. Hearing what the plot was she didn't sound as insane as now. He feels bad for her in a way.
He looked at her crazed, smiling form as shivered. If the plot can do that to the female lead, what will it do to him?

An unwell thought surfaced in Li Yuan's mind, but he calmed himself down and walked with We Xiao to the health room.
