When the party arrived back to the surface, the entirety of the city went extremely busy with soldiers trying their best to repair the wall while setting up supply camps where the houses used to be.
There were tents, boxes, and barrels everywhere. A couple of bags were filled with mountain sands from the nearby mine to make a better barricade to help protect the palisades outside the wall.
Although most of the land there would probably be covered in ice spikes as humans really love to use them as they are very effective to strike fear and anxiety, and can easily be regenerated as they were made from mana.
Even during the war with the dragons, these spikes were incredibly powerful since human mages can grow them longer, bigger, and sharper whenever something got too close.
