"Tridents!"
"Make ready! Make ready!"
The crews were all over the place, scattered arming themselves as the ice elementals came walking on the hull. That's right, not climb, walk. Every mer could feel the cold holding them tighter and tighter as those creatures approached closer and closer.
*Hopped* and one by one they aboard the ship. Claymore raised. Hungry to cleave some mer's blood out of those scaled skins. Their presence alone turned the place stone cold. Slippery as it was covered in thin ice.
"Don't fret!"
"Cover the elves!"
"To arm! To arm!"
All the mer able enough to fight rushed with tridents in hand. They all formed a couple groups, ganging up on the less numerous ice elementals. Though even then, they still had a hard time with every fight. The ice claymore those nasties carried had length longer than their tridents.
