He didn't reveal anything about the letter to anyone. He just called others and told about the murder. Deep inside, he was actually happy with this.
After some days, Agartala Police Station.
"Hello Chandra! Got to know about what happened there. So sorry for you! How was the enquiry?"
"It's ok, dear. The enquiry commission members had a nice behaviour and so, everything went well there. And, get ready. I have also received my transfer letter."
Chandra's wife was tensed about his health. After getting to know everything, she couldn't help but call him up.
"Where are we going this time?"
"Will inform you after I come back. Well, we are going towards North India this time."
"Ok but, come back fast. Your little princess can't wait anymore."
That evening, at Agartala Police Station.
Chandra- "Thank you everyone for supporting me for such a long time. I will forever remain indebted to you. I have already received my transfer letter. But, once again, Happy Independence Day to you all."
Barun- "We also got to know many things from you, Sir. Please visit us whenever you come to visit this city again. Happy Independence Day to you too, Sir."
Rohit- "Sir, do visit Neer Mahal next time."
Chandra- "Definitely!"
While moving out, Saurabh asked Chandra personally, "Sir, I think that you are already quiet familiar with Agartala and its lanes. Did you come here before?"
Chandra- "Yes, actually, my elder brother also stayed here for a long time. I had visited him here once. Before coming here transferred, I got to know that my elder brother's son was here. I thought it to be just a rumour but my mind remained disturbed. It was my brother's place and so, my heart told me to come here."
"So, did you meet his son here?"
"Unfortunately, not."
Little did he know that it was all a plan by Chaitanya. He had sent him a letter in Kolkata under a disguised name and told him about his probable situation in Agartala. Chait wanted someone from his family to witness how he was going to give his father justice.
Chandra went back to Coochbehar to pick up his wife and daughter and to look forward to his new town. And, thus, the story got its Happy Ending.
The End!
