The next evening right after eating Cassie stopped by Abjul on her way out of the tent and muttered to him, "This better work or you're gonna owe me!"
"I am sure it will." Abjul assured her with a confident smile.
As she left Maelyn pressed him, "And how exactly is this going to work by the way? Cause you not letting me in on what part I am playing in all of this is driving me crazy!"
"Well, the first part I need your help with is to back me up with Daughtry when I ask him to come look at the lake." Abjul informed her, "The big part though I can't tell you though. Because your response to what I will say being honest is a key part of it and if it comes off as a staged reaction it won't play out right."
"Alright... I guess." Maelyn reluctantly agreed while worrying about what he could be planning on asking her.
