Metuselah came back to the parlour carried Iris in his arm. She was too exhausted when doing the binding oath. He created a room for Iris to rest.
"What happened?" asked Iowyrthe.
"We talked mostly, Your Highness. I am sorry I was in a binding oath to tell you what caused her condition specifically. But I am allowed to tell what you should do if you want to help her."
"What is it?"
"First, the best would be getting the Amandine Flower before the next summer. It is supposed to be in bloom for now. The five of them swore an oath to protect her at all cost and save the world from the devil.
Other items were mana shield embedded in magic stone for the knights, magic stone with light to help for night and darkness, and unlimited arrow for Felix.
Felix was tasked to check and report every mana activity nearby Iris. Metuselah will come if she is in danger He will experiment and made magic tools to support. Marquis Judah will investigate the terror with Nicholas. June and Hoppi will research about Euntaras leaf and fruit. Iowyrthe will discuss and ask for back up to the royal family.
Iris was in the nightmare again. She saw over and over her blood spilled from her gaping wound. She wanted to stop the bleeding but felt weak at the same time. She fainted in her dream, only to wake up seeing her hand wounded and blood spilled.
Metuselah and Iowyrthe came to see her in the chamber, but they came into a whole messy cold sweated Iris in restless sleeping.
"It is a spell," said Metuselah, "Let me handle this."
Metuselah cast some runes and there's a red smoke all over her body. Iris's ring turned into normal. Metuselah caught the smoke in the bottle.
"So, this nightmare is a spell?"
"I think it was put when they wrecked her chamber in the palace. They wreak havoc the chamber is to distract you. They only targeting her. She got nightmare when sleeping and it will definitely weaken her," Metuselah shook the bottled smoke and checked it, "Every spell has its weakness. Cute though, they put you as the weakness."
"What?"
"They put you as the weakness, means, it weakened the spell if you near her."
"That's why."
"Why what?" asked Metuselah.
"No, nothing." Iowyrthe thought about how Iris was at ease when he is around. He smiled faintly. He felt a sense that he can protect someone and it makes his self-esteem rise.
They prepared to get back to the palace. They agreed to share any information if there's something new and communicate through the ring.
