"Io, I want to discuss it with you." Doctor June has returned from her room. Iowyrthe has all the maid and servants out.
"In my point of view as a medical doctor this is bad. She can't stand cold started when she was young. Even though, just a slight drop of her core temperature. It was what caused her like this. She was very weak to all kind poison. What basically insect bite for us, might be life threatening for her. You are lucky you know. Mosquitoes only draw blood. She was on blood enhancer for a long time. Do you know how bad it is? We all might die from blood loss, but for her it can be two times faster without the enhancer. The Princess knew all about it, but she kept it secret as it was made her as an easy target. He said all of it might be link to her mana. So, I have talked to Metuselah. He said it will be better to bring her to Aurinko to check. Three of us think that Amandine flower might be able to help. But none of us certain."
As Doctor June explained more details to him. His heart sank even more deeper. He looked at Iris with empty gazes. Most of the time here what he did was basically kill her slowly. The food that he limited. Though thankfully she was able to manage Grizsha to prepare her food better. The stress she faced when she has to beg him or the time when he confine her in the room. The unhealthy room. The mosquitoes. The drowning. The fire. The blanket. The cape that she was supposed to take. All was caused mainly by him.
"Mmm…" Iris tried to open her eyes, "This is warm, I like it." She mumbled. She woke up and gasped when she saw Iowyrthe sat down in her bedside, "Kyaa… what you do in my room?"
Iowyrthe and Doctor June was surprised, "No, actually you are in my chamber." Doctor June gazed at him in disbelief. Iris was thinking what happened. She felt a slight headache.
"Oh, my goodness, aren't we supposed to go to the city to talk with the citizen about the law." She suddenly shouted.
"Princess, pardon me. Let me introduce myself, Your Highness, I am June, a doctor. I apologize, but you are not fit for now. Bring her warm soup, let her eat," she directly asked the maids.
"Ah thank you, Doctor. So, what was happened to me? All I remember was laying down in front of the fireplace, waiting Agnes to bring the woods. Am I..."
"We found you unconscious in the morning," Iowyrthe explained, "You had a moderate temperature loss."
"Do you feel drowsy and tired for now?" the Doctor asked.
"Not for now. Can I please go to the city? I am fine now. I love going to the city. Also, I want to have my new cape and dress."
"Cape and dress. Spoiled. Alright, after you eat."
"Io… what?" He dragged Doctor June outside the room, "I will not let her exhausted or cold or hurt. She is excited to go, you see? I know she is happier when she going out to the city. You said the happier it is the better she will be."
"Eheee, you feel guilty, do you? I know, but…" Doctor June was thinking for a while and in the end said, "Alright, take her and keep her in best possible condition. If she's back and something happened to her, I will hold you accountable. For your information, I have already sent all my professional view along with Judah's report to the Empress."
"I understand, soon she will berate me." Iowyrthe started imagining The Empress non-stop whining.
Meanwhile, Rosetta served her soup. Agnes and Selma were also there to prepare for her. They talked about what happened. Iris seemed that she was used to it. As if she fell unconscious was nothing. However, she felt uneasy about the room.
"But Rosetta I want to go back to my old room."
"No, you cannot, Princess. This is the best room for your condition. We will not use that room again for now."
"Isn't this the Duke's chamber?"
"Yes. But we have arranged it for you."
"But how can we stay in the same room?"
"You don't have to worry, Princess," Selma added, "I guess from now on he will take care of it." The maids were giggling.
The door opened. Iowyrthe said, "Get her prepare after she finished her meal. I will wait in my study."
"With pleasure, Your Highness."
They then helped her get up and prepare. She felt a little dizzy but at the same time she really wants to go to the city. She spent most of her time back in Musou Palace. She loves interacting with people and enjoy the new environment. Her first trip to city made her addicted. It made her felt highly spirited and strong.
They waited for the carriage in front of the main house. Judah and Sir Thomas followed. Rosetta was appointed to take care of her for today. Doctor June has instructed Rosetta on how to keep an eye for her. She won't join and choose to check on the orphanage and the whole worker of the Manor. Nicholos, Taek, and Chan was appointed to protect them.
"Use this." Iowyrthe gave her his cape, "You can use this until you got your own." Rosetta then help her to wear that cape.
"Thank you."
When she got into the carriage, she noticed the chair was covered with some of animal fur. It has pillows and blankets too.
It is not that long until they arrived. Iowyrthe then offered his hand to help Iris got off from the carriage. Few citizens welcomed them and start whispering. They ignored it and started to ask their opinion about the law. They went to several area. They asked children and elderly too. The people were very open.
The issue they gather so far were the spending of the money they collected, since there was no one recording it. They asked that they should have a more systemized way on how they spend the money they gathered. Then, children want a school or training camp. Elderly wants distribution of fire wood better since they will face winter soon.
Last place was the market. There they ate various food and snack while they gather the information. Many of the merchant gave them their goods to the Princess and Duke. The merchants and the buyer more concern about the safety. Iowyrthe promised them to send more knights to all area. After they finished, they went to the boutique.
"Oh, Your Highness, welcome. I have prepared your cape few days ago. I wonder why you didn't get it soon. Especially when the weather getting colder."
"Thank you." Iris then paid with her gold.
"Give her warm gloves and comfortable shoes too." Iowyrthe told the owner.
"Sure, Your Highness." She then added, "In Aurinko there's a very special cape and dress set that I see will suit her the most. Her long black hair and her eyes will definitely be more outstanding with the dress and cape set. My sister is the owner of the boutique. Many people have bid that but my sister will only sell to those who she sees fit. I've told Princess and the kids as well, but Princess refuse."
"Why did you refuse? No money?" Iowyrthe asked her.
"Well, I think one is enough." She replied calmly, but thought silently, "You don't have to point that out I think."
"Ahem, the shall I measure your shoe's size, Princess. I will send it right away. Would you like to padded that with soft and warm Yak fur? It will be more expensive but it will worth for the whole winter."
"No, I…"
"Yes, make it warm and soft and comfortable to walk with." Iowyrthe interrupted
"And make it pretty for the Princess." Rosetta added.
"Sure, I will make the prettiest shoes for Her Highness. But I suggest you really visit my sister boutique, if you need pretty shoes for a royal event."
"But… But…"
"Oh, dear. Your feet blistering. That's why they really care about your shoes so much. Please leave it to me, Your Grace. I will make sure she won't have any issue in walking for long time. I have finished measuring it. I will send it soon."
"Send the bill to the estate," Iowyrthe walked outside. The owner then gave Rosetta the dress, cape, and gloves. They went back to the estate.
