I groaned loudly, wishing I was somewhere else right now. I wasn't even that excited for today and already my body ached for sleep. I closed my eyes, only opening them after feeling another hand grab mine and shake it gently.
Zarkon stared at me silently until I managed to pry my eyes open.
"We're having dinner with the queen and father tonight," he told me quietly. It took me a second to remember that he was talking about the royal family.
I yawned and sat up. "Why does that sound so exciting?"
"Because you will be allowed to come with me to court as long as you don't bother Viren during his lessons. He has a strict schedule and he won't like it if one of his students keeps interrupting him during the process. Understand?"
I nodded reluctantly. Of course, I understood. There wasn't any point in arguing with my brother about something I was completely incapable of doing anyways.
