Amy entered as soon as Leo left the room to help Roselia get ready for the visit to the Imperial Palace. She also called in a few maids to help the lady, each of them carrying two sets of gorgeous dresses, with accessories and heels to match.
The dresses brought in by the maids were beautiful. All of the dresses were of different colors, exuding sophistication, and elegance. Some of the dresses were covered in jewels and looked heavy to wear while the others did not seem to be as heavy and were filled with as many jewels.
"Lady Roselia, it's time to fit into your dress," Amy said as she picked up a dress for Roselia to try on.
"Right." Roselia took a final sip of her tea before heading toward Amy for the dress fitting.
.
"Ugh, Amy! Can't I just wear something simple to the Imperial Pala-?!" Roselia exclaimed as Amy tightened the corset around the dress that she was asked to change into.
"You can't Lady Roselia, you're visiting THE Imperial Palace and His Majesty, THE emperor of Elftarise," Amy replied as she tightened the corset around Roselia's waist.
"F-fine, fine, but can't you just loosen the corset just a little bit, you've seen me eat for breakfast and I don't think it has been fully digested yet. I-It's too tight for me to b-breathe?!"
"O-oh, sorry Lady Roselia! Let me loosen it for you!" Amy apologized and quickly loosened the corset around Roselia's waist.
"Haa, I can finally breathe. Thank you, Amy."
Amy nodded as she went to grab the finishing accessories for the dress.
.
After Roselia finished putting on the dress, she walked to the full-length mirror across her room to look at herself. "Hmm... this dress doesn't suit me, but considering I'm going to visit the Palace, I guess I can deal with it. Are the shoes ready?"
"Yes, Lady Roselia." Amy brought in a pair of shoes to match.
.
"My Lady! You've arrived!" Leo shouted when he saw Roselia walking out of the Manor with Amy.
"Sorry, were we late?"
"O-of course not My Lady!"
"That's right! How could our Lady be late? She may be the only person in this Empire that can arrive on time!" Amy sarcastically replied to Leo.
Roselia stood there quietly listening to Amy's and Leo's little fight. Overhearing what they were talking about, she quickly jumped in. "H-hey! That was only one time! And if you guys are going to bicker while we're going to the Palace, get a room instead of doing it in front of me." She laughed.
"No!" Both of them shouted.
"Hahaha fine...I'm just kidding, shall we head off now?" Roselia once again chuckled at their cuteness and headed toward the gate.
Suddenly, the sound of horses galloping from afar could be heard at the front gate of Hogan's Manor...
"Alright then, may I?" Leo held out his hand to help Roselia and Amy enter the carriage.
As Roselia sat down, she began to look around. The interior of the carriage looked wonderful and exquisite, red silk curtains hung up on the windows, tied to the frame with a gold rope to allow the sunlight to enter. Even the sofa that she was seating on was made out of high-quality materials.
It had been quite some time since Roselia entered the royal carriage of the Imperial family, so she was astonished by how it still looked the very same as the one she first entered when she was younger.
"Oh my gosh! The carriage is lovely!" Amy entered the carriage and exclaimed excitedly.
"It has been quite some time since I took the Imperial carriage, it still looks the same as I first took it," Roselia replied to Amy as she took a seat in the carriage.
"Lucky! But...I wonder why His Majesty sent us his carriage though we can ride our carriage?" Amy questioned.
Is this going to be an important meeting at the Emperor needed to send us the imperial carriage?
"I guess we'll find out later."
After a few moments, the carriage starts to move.
.
Moving through the village. As Roselia looks out of the carriage, beyond Leo, who was riding his horse beside the carriage, she saw the town folks bowing at the carriage.
It was not a written rule but the people of Elftarise have made it a tradition to bow down at the Imperial carriage, even if it's a slight nod, to respect the first emperor for founding Elftarise.
The village was lively, though it was still quite early in the morning, there were already shops open with customers shopping for things.
For some time, Roselia has just been staring out the window, at the view and had forgotten that she was almost arriving at the Imperial Palace.
"We have arrived at the Imperial Palace, Lady Hogan." The coachman announced once they reached the gate of the Imperial Palace.
Leo stepped down from his horse and gently pull open the door of the carriage and held his hand out, proceeding to help Roselia and Amy to get down, "My Lady and Miss Amy, we have arrived."
After Roselia and Amy got down from the carriage, a man in a black suit came forth towards them and greeted, "Lady Hogan and her escorts Sir Sowell and Miss Tyra have arrived? Greetings."
"Pleasure to meet you." Both Amy and Leo greeted in unison.
"Ah- Mister Borguis, no need to be so formal. It has been quite some time since I came to the palace, how are you?" Roselia happily greeted him.
Mister Borguis is the Head of the butlers and maids working in the Imperial Palace, he is in charge of the cleanliness of the Imperial Palace and occasionally, ceremonial events that might be entrusted to him by His Majesty's wife, Her Majesty Livsta Von Ritzer.
Mister Borguis is a dignified man and one of high caliber at that, enough for Her Majesty to entrust him with such an important task as planning.
"It's an honor for the Young Miss of the Hogan Household to worry about me. Right! His Majesty has been waiting for your arrival." Mister Borguis directed Roselia and the others into the palace.
.
After minutes of walking around the large halls of the palace, Roselia and the others arrived at the front of the throne room.
Huge mahogany doors attached with golden handles can be seen in front of them. Not to mention, a delicately carved Dragon head in rose gold was placed above the doors, signifying the Imperial Flag of Elftarise. Imperial Guards were also standing by the door.
Roselia took a minute to look up at the statue. "A dragon head huh..." she thought to herself. Could this be the design of the legendary dragon found in the 'Death Zone'?
Roselia snapped out of her thought and turned toward Amy and Leo, asking them to wait for her outside while she goes in to meet the Emperor.
"Yes, Lady Roselia."
"Yes, My Lady"
They both nodded in unison.
.
Roselia internally breathed in and tried to relax her composure before meeting the emperor.
The huge doors then slowly open in front of her.
"Her Lady, Roselia Light Hogan has arrived!"
